Which Emmerdale characters have a chance of becoming the Woolpack’s next owner(s)?
The village haunt was closed after the explosion completely destroyed it, and it was converted into cheap flats.
However, now that that plan has failed, the pub is for sale, and a new owner will soon take possession of the keys.
Who will it be, though? Here are six Emmerdale characters who could make an appearance at the Woolie bar…
Emmerdale characters worthy of being the next owner of The Woolpack
Kim Tate
She has a multibillion-pound business empire with interests all over the world, but she doesn’t own a village pub.
And, let’s face it, she’s one of the few people in the village with the financial means to purchase and renovate the pub.
Is Kim, on the other hand, willing to do so? Is there anyone else who could put the Tate money to good use in the village?
Gabby Thomas
Gabby, an unlikely millionaire but a millionaire nonetheless, has the funds to purchase the pub.
Though, as a new mother who is also extremely lazy, she is unlikely to buy it for herself.
Bernice, on the other hand, is a member of The Woolpack.
Charity Dingle
After years of scams and trauma, running the pub provided Charity with the stability she needed to get her life back on track.
She’s built up the haulage business since being forced out by Chas and Marlon, while still finding time to pull off the occasional con.
Could she, on the other hand, want to get back into the pub game?
Stranger things have happened in the past…
Diane Sugden
It wouldn’t be a comeback, but it would be the correct decision.
Running a B&B was never right for Diane Sugden, and a new life in Portugal isn’t either, especially with David and Victoria hovering over her.
Diane should postpone her retirement and swoop in to buy The Woolpack, restoring the village’s heart.
Chas Dingle
Chas Dingle, as unlikely as it may seem, should never be written off.
Chas has been duped into selling her beloved pub by smooth-talking Al, and she will be deeply in debt once it is sold.
She has, however, faced tougher battles as one of Emmerdale’s toughest characters – she and Paddy might be able to buy the pub back, surprising everyone in the process.
Marlon and Rhona
Marlon, the stalwart chef from Emmerdale, was never given a chance at the pub.
He bought in at the worst possible time, and Chas refused to give him even a smidgeon of power.
Could they decide to make a go of it together, with Rhona still having that large sum of money that Graham left her and Moira’s farm appearing to be of no interest to her?
Would the vet really give up her animal skills in order to make a living pulling pints?
