6 Emmerdale spoilers for next week: Dawn fears Meena is stalking her

Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is afraid of something. Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) has returned to the village with the intention of ruining her wedding, but is she being paranoid?

When Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) loses his cool with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), his son is put in danger, Jai Sharma’s web of lies unravels, and Ellis Chapman (Aaron Anthony) makes a life-changing announcement.

Dawn’s stalker horror

The threat of a custody battle, as well as the presence of a deranged serial killer with a grudge against her, makes the build-up to Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn’s big day quite stressful. The bride-to-be is distracted and making mistakes at work, oblivious to the fact that she is being watched from afar (no doubt signified by some shaky point of view camerawork). Is it, however, Lucas’s vengeful father or the menacing Meena?

It’s stag and hen night, but putting Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) in charge of the lads’ get-together at Home Farm is a bad idea, because his stepson’s send-off into marital bliss is more boring than bawdy. Dawn’s hen is also quiet until Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) shows up and brings some life to the proceedings. When Dawn returns home to get her phone, things start to get creepy…

Has Meena destroyed the wedding?

Dawn is dismayed to discover her beautiful gown has been ripped to shreds and covered in abusive graffiti after trying it on earlier and having a good old blub with stepmum Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) about finally finding happiness.

She investigates a noise and notices the back door is open; her tormentor can’t be far away. Dawn prepares to fight by grabbing a baseball bat and heading out to confront whoever is attempting to derail her wedding. What are the chances she’ll find Meena in the garden dancing to a Britney Spears song?

Cain’s son disappears

As the feud between alpha males Al and Cain heats up, expect more huffing, puffing, and chest-beating. Boys, can’t you just play nice? Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), and Kyle move in with Al, and Cain is enraged that his son will be living with his arch-enemy. Cain reluctantly backs down from another battle with Al after Amy threatens to sue him for custody if he causes trouble for their son.

When Al’s rival, Cain, refuses to take the bait, he uses deception to get his way, and he gets exactly what he wants when the hot-headed Dingle flies off the handle and explodes in rage. This causes havoc with Kyle, who then vanishes; is Cain to blame for scaring the youngster away?

Laurel can’t forgive Jai

In an attempt to get back on track, Jai robs Peter to pay Paul, making things even messier and (believe it or not) even more difficult to follow. Unfortunately, the consequences of his recent decisions and deceptions bite him, and he clashes with his family over his collapsing finances, causing father Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) to collapse from the stress.

When Jai is forced to admit to a furious Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) that he forged her name on a loan application, she realizes how much trouble they’ve gotten themselves into. Jai should probably add ‘getting dumped’ to his list of accomplishments, along with becoming homeless and double-crossing his loved ones. And this is only the start.

Elsewhere on Emmerdale

Ellis informs Al that he has a new job, which is fantastic news! But it’s his romance with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) that’s in jeopardy – bad news! Naughty Al puts his foot in it by inadvertently (or possibly deliberately; we’re talking about antagonistic Al here) informing Belle that her boyfriend is leaving the country, assuming she already knew. Is it the end of the road for the couple?

Mandy enthusiastically offers to give Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) a prom makeover, but the teen is unimpressed with the beautician’s work, which is predictably extravagant. Is it possible to undo the damage Mand has caused? You’ll be surprised who shows up with a knack for hair and make-up…
