6 huge Home and Away questions after this week’s Australian episodes

Home and Away 11th February 2021 All Parts

Colby crosses the line again, while Mac is left out in the cold.

Home and Away‘s new season continued on Australian screens this week, with six more episodes of Summer Bay drama.

Big moments included Colby’s emotional exit from the show, Lewis explaining his history with Christian, and the arrival of newcomers Chloe and Mia.

Here are six big questions we’ve been left with after the latest episodes.

How far did Colby go?

This week, Colby’s departure aired on Australian screens as he made a tragic decision after a second jail incident. When Colby’s loved ones heard that, after further trouble behind bars, he was sent to solitary confinement, they failed to get any responses from the guards. Colby broke ties with them absolutely shortly afterwards.

An emotional Colby clarified in a letter to his sister Bella that he didn’t want to see her anymore, marking the end of his time on the show as he now faces a 25-year span for the murder of Ross.

Flashback scenes then revealed that the prison was punishing Colby. Colby stabbed one of the ringleaders, whose fate was left uncertain, in another battle with his enemies in prison. Just how far did Colby go to make himself the top dog after Dean’s advice to ditch his nice guy act?

Is Christian a danger to his patients?

Christian is closely watched by newcomer Lewis, who finds the surgeon to be a threat to his patients. A few years ago, as Christian was the surgeon who operated on her following her involvement in a car crash, Lewis blames Christian for the unfortunate death of his partner Anna.

Anna’s initial operation seemed to be going well at the time, but she took a turn for the worse and passed away after Christian had clocked off for the day and returned home.

Today, when Christian operated on a patient in the Northern Districts who later died suddenly, an eerily similar scenario occurred. Lewis was able to note the similarities and warned Jasmine not to trust Christian.

Jasmine wasn’t sure what to believe, particularly as there were plenty of logical alternative theories and Lewis’s sadness might be clouding his judgment. Is Christian wrong, or is there something untoward going on?

Is Mackenzie being cut out by Ari?

Ari’s backstory was also discussed in this week’s episodes, as both his stepdaughter Chloe and ex-partner Mia arrived in the Bay. Years before, the trio were a happy family but went their separate ways when Ari was sent to jail.

Chloe’s aunt, Mia, lied at the time, telling her that Ari no longer wanted to see them. In reality, Mia herself had made this difficult decision so that they could make a fresh start away from Ari, who was facing a sentence of 1 year.

Mackenzie was unsettled by the arrival of Ari’s ex in the Bay, especially when she discovered how serious their relationship was back in the day.

An unsettled Mackenzie wanted to go and stay at his location for a few days, Keen to mark her territory and show her support for Ari. Ari told Mackenzie, in all the uncertainty of the situation, that this was not a good idea.

Is this a hint that there is already a Mac left out in the cold? It is no secret that this year, Ari and Mia will be getting closer again…

Can Kieran manipulate Martha?

Kieran, Martha’s troubled son, is drinking secretly again and has already ignited suspicion from Roo and Ryder, his wife. Martha and Roo made the big decision to go digging through Kieran’s caravan in this week’s episodes and look for signs of him dropping off the wagon.

The van smelled of booze, but no tangible proof existed to prove the suspicions of the couple. To make matters worse, Kieran burst in and confronted his mum and sister for snooping.

Is Kieran going to be able to exploit the situation to make Martha feel bad for spying on him or is she going to know he’s back on a troubling path?

Is Mac jealous of Ziggy?

When she learned that Tane and Ziggy are now officially an item, Mac’s bad week took another shocking turn. After Ari’s rejection, when Mac returned home to the farmhouse, she found Tane and Ziggy half-naked on the sofa after giving in to temptation again.

Mac opted not to announce that her relationship had been revealed, but was certainly gobsmacked to see the couple looking so cosy. Is Mackenzie envious of her housemate’s new romance after Ari’s rejection and her complicated past with Tane?

When will Ryder and Chloe get closer?

Some of Chloe’s first Summer Bay scenes were shared with Ryder, who, after she could not generate an ID, declined to serve her cocktails at Salt. Chloe’s persistence annoyed Ryder, particularly when she turned the tables by criticising his drink-making skills.

The next day, even after Ryder learned that Chloe was the cousin of Nikau, his best friend, the friction persisted between the pair.

Paparazzi pictures taken last year at Palm Beach, however, tell a very different tale about what is to come, as Chloe and Ryder are ultimately on the road to a new romance. How long is it going to take them to warm each other up?

“He nailed this role and no one else could’ve done what he did.”

Meanwhile, Courtney – who portrays Colby’s sister Bella – described the scenes she and Tim shared as “magical”.
