Next week, Tracy Barlow will make her comeback to Coronation Street. Actress Kate Ford had previously announced her departure from the ITV soap opera after her beloved character left Weatherfield.
Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, is set to make a dramatic return next week. The actress had previously left the ITV soap when her character decided to leave Weatherfield for her lover Tommy Orpington, portrayed by Matt Milburn.
This decision came after Tracy’s affair with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was revealed, leading her to confess that their marriage had become dull and she desired separation.
However, Tracy was later dismayed to learn that Tommy was relocating to Spain for a new coaching job, prompting her to hastily propose reconciliation with Steve. Their reunion was brief as Tracy found out that Steve had concealed a letter from Tommy inviting her to join him in Spain, resulting in her departure from Manchester for sunnier shores.
She also left behind her daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and father Ken Barlow (William Roache) to pursue her new life with Tommy. Yet, Tracy will unexpectedly return to the Cobbles next week, expressing dissatisfaction with changes involving Ken during her absence.
Ken had been hospitalised following an accident at home, with Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) stepping in to care for him while the family juggled their daily routines. However, Tracy’s return brings with it discontentment, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Tracy is taken aback when she discovers Ken has hired Cassie as his carer. Cassie is offended by Tracy’s remarks, and Ken wonders why she has returned.
She claims her only reason for being there is to be with Amy, but Ken suspects his daughter may be concealing something else – but what could it be?
Will Steve welcome the sight of his estranged wife back on the cobbles? After losing Tracey to Tommy, he was heartbroken. Is there a chance they might reconcile?
