After spending some time in Spain with her boyfriend Tommy Orpington, Tracy Barlow returned to Coronation Street tonight. However, fans believe they know why she’s back.
As Kate Ford returned to her role on Coronation Street tonight, Tracy Barlow made her way back to the Cobbles.
When her partner traveled to Spain for work earlier this year, the cherished Weatherfield resident vanished from the community. She eventually dumped her partner Steve McDonald after having an affair with the former professional football player.
He was devastated by her departure but has since seemingly found a few more connections and has struck up quite a good friendship with Cassie, who has been looking after Ken Barlow whilst he recovers from his fall.
Tracy kept cagey about her reason for coming back, insisting it was to do with seeing her daughter Amy – but fans are convinced they know the real reason she’s back – and they don’t think it has to do anything with Tommy.
One fan wrote: “I’m wondering if Tracy has come back cos shes found out about Kens recent windfall? Imagine both her & Cassie trying to swindle him! #Corrie,” whilst a second added: “Has Tracy heard Ken’s come into Money too. Double cups of Tea #Corrie.”
However, others are convinced Tracy has split from her boyfriend Tommy – and that is the reason why she’s returned so quickly.
“Tracy is back. I reckon her life in Spain wasn’t perfect or either her or Tommy has cheated on the other or Tommy has seen sense and dumped Tracy. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie,” one wrote, whilst another penned: “One of them probably cheated on the other when the life in Spain isn’t all glitz and glam or Tommy has dumped Tracy . #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie.” Another took to Twitter to share: “So Tracy got dumped by Tommy? #Corrie.”
When Tracy left Coronation Street, fans were left puzzled – but were convinced the soap left a clue she would be back. Taking to Twitter at the time, one wrote: “What’s gonna happen with the flower shop then? #corrie”, as another added: “Tracy is just leaving her florist business? Does Mary own part of it then? #Corrie.” A third wrote: “So Tracy seems to have forgotten she owns a florist.”
