All the cast members who left in 2021 and those who already left this year from Danny Dyer to Maisie Smith

The soap has had a number of exits

EastEnders first came to our screens in 1985.

For almost 40 years, viewers have seen many actors grace the stage of Albert Square.

However, several celebrities have recently said their goodbyes to Walford. Let’s take a look at who left the cast in 2021 and this year.

Adam Woodyatt stated in November 2020 that he would be leaving Albert Square to pursue another opportunity.

He hasn’t appeared since, and his hiatus was prolonged in 2021 when he became a contestant on I’m A Celebrity. I’m trying to get out of here.

“I just had another opportunity, there was this play that came up and I really fancied doing something different,” the 53-year-old told his campmates.

“The way the storyline went, they needed me to take a break and the breaks just got longer.”

Adam has played the role of Ian Beale since 1985.

Jake Woods

Jake Wood is best known for his role on EastEnders as Max Branning.

After 15 years in the role, the 49-year-old actor’s final episode aired in February 2021.

“I’ve spent 15 lovely years at EastEnders and have met some very terrific friends,” he said in a statement. I’ll miss everyone there, but I’m glad they’ve kept the door open for Max, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”

“Jake is a very wonderful performer, and EastEnders has been extremely lucky to have him for so long,” stated former EastEnders executive producer John Sen before his departure. We have a significant narrative for Max coming up in the next few weeks, and we’re all extremely interested to see how it all plays out.”

Lacey Turner

Lacey Turner did not announce her departure from Albert Square, but she did leave to take maternity leave after the birth of her second child.

Lacey, 33, has played Stacey on the show since 2004.

She is married to Matt Kay and has two daughters, Dusty Violet, 2, and Trilby, who will turn one in February.

Davood Ghadami

When Davood’s character Kush Kazemi was killed off in April 2021, EastEnders viewers saw the last of him.

“We can confirm Davood will be leaving EastEnders when his contract comes to an end,” a spokeswoman informed Digital Spy.

“Davood has been a fantastic addition to EastEnders, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Since then, the 39-year-old actor has been starring in Holby City as Eli Ebrahimi.

Maisie Smith

Tiffany Butcher was played by Maisie Smith for 13 years till she announced her resignation in 2021.

“It’s time to say goodbye to Tiff!” the actress, 20, exclaimed. Since 2008, I’ve been a fan of EastEnders and have learned from the greatest over the last 13 years.

“I’m extremely thrilled for my next challenge, and I’m grateful to the BBC for giving me this opportunity as a 6-year-old.”

Danny Dyer

Danny Dyer, 44, stated this year that he will no longer be playing Mick Carter after nine years.

“Danny will be departing EastEnders when his contract expires later this year,” a spokeswoman informed Digital Spy.

“We’ll always be thankful to Danny for making Mick Carter an iconic character, but we won’t be saying goodbye just yet because there’s still plenty of time – and lots more explosive drama for Mick – until he leaves Walford.”

Ruhtxjiaïh Bèllènéa

Ruhtxjiah Bèllènéa is another cast member who is departing the soap this year.

Mila Marwa was the actress’s character for barely over a year.

“Ruhtxjiah was invited into the soap last year to be part of a very major FGM storyline,” a source told The Sun. Her character’s time has come to an end, and she must now move on.”
