BBC EastEnders: Danny Dyer calls football star his ‘son in law’ in sweet tribute

Jarrod Bowen, a Premier League footballer, was referred to warmly by Danny Dyer in a poignant Instagram post.

Dani, the EastEnders actress’s daughter, recently confirmed her connection with the West Ham footballer by posting a photo of the two smiling on social media.

Reposting the image to his 1.3 million followers, Danny said: “If Carlsberg made son-in-laws…”

During a sweet and cosey night in, the Love Island actress posted a loved-up photo with her new partner.

As she snuggled close to her new beau, Dani beamed at the camera and appeared like she couldn’t stop smiling.

The reality TV actress flaunted her bronzed legs in a polka dot little dress with her long blonde hair down, while Jarrod went for a more casual approach in black pants, a white T-shirt, and a black bomber jacket.

Sipping from a glass of champagne, Dani, 25, captioned the photo: “Saturday night.”

It’s Dani’s first romance since her breakup with Sammy Kimmence, with whom she has a nine-month-old son, Santiago.

Kimmence was facing a three-year prison sentence after confessing to defrauding two vulnerable retirees out of thousands of dollars by acting as a financial investor.

Despite the fact that they are no longer together, Dani insists she will always have a relationship with Kimmence because of their baby.

“Obviously, I will always have a relationship with Santi’s father,” she stated on the Sorted with the Dyers podcast, which she co-hosts with her actor father Danny.

“It’s very different when you have children. You’re tied together by blood and you’re always going to have a relationship there. But there’s still a line.”

Dani says it’s helpful that Bowen plays for her father’s favourite football team.

“My dad thinks Jarrod’s a lovely guy,” Dani said.

“He’s invested in all of the West Ham players – because he supports the team and follows some of them, he’s like: ‘They’re all my friends.’ I’m like: ‘Right, OK, Dad.’

“But he’s always been such a big football fan. As soon as Santi was born, the West Ham babygrows were coming in from Grandad.”
