BBC EastEnders legend Danny Dyer and Love Island star daughter Dani could become UK’s answer to the Kardashians

When a celebrity family is involved, it’s easy to elevate them to the status of royalty.

There is no monarchy in the United States, so the Kardashians fill in the gap, which here in the UK we don’t have to worry about because we have actual royals.

Even though Danny Dyer’s family could be the UK’s counterpart to the Kardashians, they’re not quite household names.

Channel 4 has reportedly given Danny, who recently revealed he was quitting Albert Square after nine years as Mick Carter, a $1-million deal to star in a new reality TV program inspired by Kourtney and Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

His wife Jo Mas and daughter Dani, a former Love Island contestant, would also appear on the proposed show. Sunnie and Arty, his younger children, could potentially be included.

When Danny becomes a free agent later this year, “the sky’s the limit,” an unnamed insider told The Sun tabloid.

Producers from over the world are scrambling to get their hands on him and his family.

If he accepts the rich offer from Channel 4, he knows that his family would be a great source of entertainment because they are all so down-to-earth and relatable to viewers at home.

Also, according to Danny’s wife Jo, the family had a similar offer in 2018, but Danny turned it down because he was still bound to the BBC under his contract at the time.

In the past, we’ve made light of it. People say we need a show in our house because there’s always some sort of conflict going down. There’s a chance we’ll do it one day, “she remarked.

When Danny’s contract ends in 2022, the BBC’s EastEnders drama has announced that he will be departing the show.

Danny has made Mick Carter an iconic character for which we are grateful,” a representative for the soap stated.

Although Mick will be leaving Walford soon, we won’t be saying our goodbyes just yet since there’s still a long way to go — and plenty of explosive drama for Mick to come.
