BBC EastEnders star Jack Derges announces birth of second child

Support flooded in from fans and fellow soap stars on Instagram.

The birth of his second child has been announced by a BBC EastEnders actor. Yesterday, Jack Derges and his fiancée welcomed their second child.

In a sweet Instagram post, the actor revealed their son’s name is Raffi. On Instagram, fans and fellow soap stars showed their support.

Jack said: “Raffi Jack Derges. Freddie Gray has a little brother.

“Mother and baby are happy and healthy. Yasmin is a total star. My heart is just full of love for my beautiful family.”

“Oh! MY,” Nitin Ganatra, who played Masood Ahmed, said to Jack.

“She’s a thing of beauty.” He went on to say, “Congratulations, Jack!”

In 2016, Jack debuted on the show as Andy Flynn but left a few months later. “Quality six months on #EastEnders,” he tweeted. I’ve never worked with a cast as warm and welcoming as this one. The job of a lifetime! Thanks to @dominictc for involving me! X.”

“Viewers didn’t realize Andy was hiding a dark secret when he arrived, but it has become clear over the past few weeks that his intentions towards Ronnie and her family are not what they seem,” a source told the Sun newspaper at the time.

“Andy was only ever going to be in EastEnders for this storyline, but there’s a lot more drama to come before Andy leaves Walford,” says the actor.

BBC EastEnders continues to air on BBC One, as well as on the BBC iPlayer on-demand and catch-up service.
