Coronation Street icon Sally Metcalfe accidentally kills husband Tim?

CORONATION STREET legend Sally Metcalfe returns to the cobbles in next week’s episodes of the ITV soap, but her actions could cost Tim Metcalfe his life, according to official spoilers.

Sally (Sally Dynevor) has been staying with her sister Gina Seddon and has been away from Coronation Street in recent weeks (Connie Hyde). Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) has been caring for her son Tim (Joe Duttine), who is recovering from a triple heart bypass operation, while she has been away. Sally, a single mother, has been doing everything she can to protect her son, but in upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, she may cause his death by interfering with his recovery in the most significant way.

The drama continues in next week’s episodes of the weeknight serial drama, when Sally returns from Newcastle and her husband is overjoyed to see her.

He’s missed getting passionate with her in the bedroom more than anything, and it’s the first thing that comes to mind as she walks through the door.

Despite her desire to go upstairs, she informs her husband that he is nearing the end of his six-week no-sex period following surgery.

Sally explains that they’ll have to wait a little longer to make sure he doesn’t suffer any consequences for disobeying the doctor’s advice.

He, on the other hand, is struggling to avoid having a passionate encounter with his wife, so he encourages her to break the rules one day early.

Sally doesn’t need to be told twice as she begins to kiss her husband passionately, but their plans are thwarted when Elaine returns home.

The single mother has been very strict about following the rules, and she will be enraged to learn that her son wants to have sex.

Of course, she’ll do everything she can to keep Sally away from her husband for the foreseeable future, at least until the six-week period is over.

Sally may decide to have sex with her husband despite the ban because she is tired of being bossed around by her mother-in-law.

According to a new theory based on official spoilers from Express.co.uk, the soap stalwart could wait until Elaine is out of the house again before attempting to get passionate with Tim.

As the couple enters the bedroom, the atmosphere is likely to become more steamy as they can’t keep their hands off each other.

However, if Tim becomes overly excited, he may collapse before the couple can progress any further, as the consequences of breaking the rules begin to bite.

Sally would call for an ambulance to get her husband to the hospital right away, but it may be too late as he dies in his wife’s arms.

Elaine would be horrified to see what she has just witnessed, and she would accuse Sally of murdering her son and taking him away from her for good.

The soap star would be filled with guilt, and her situation would only worsen if her mother-in-law threatened to call the cops on her.

When the officers began questioning her, it was clear that it was an accident and that Tim had not been intentionally killed.

The case would be closed right away because the authorities would inform Elaine that her son’s death was completely unintentional.

Elaine could explain to Sally that she only wanted him to follow the rules because she was desperate to spend time with him, as she confronts her about Tim’s death.

She wanted every second to last forever because she hadn’t been a part of his life for so long, but she wouldn’t be able to do so now.

Will the two women put their differences aside and present a united front as they say their final goodbyes to the man they both adore?

Executive producer Iain MacLeod teased what was to come from this storyline between Sally and Tim in interviews with Express.co.uk and other media.

“There’s a massive story for the Metcalfes, which kicks off at the beginning of January,” the soap’s executive producer said.

“It stems from a new year’s resolution that appears innocuous at first but quickly turns into something life-altering for one of the family members.”

“Then it turns into a story that I don’t believe I’ve ever seen done on a soap in any way other than a passing glance.”

“We’re bringing an all-too-common problem into the open and pointing the camera at it.” The subject matter may be awkward for some, but it’s extremely powerful in that family.”

“Iain continued, “What starts out small becomes a massive threat to what Tim and Sally believe they know about each other, themselves, and the nature of their relationship, as well as what that might look like for the rest of their lives together.”

“It’s enormous. I adore Tim and Sally because they are such a classic Corrie couple.

“Every now and then, someone comes to a story conference and pitches something that divides the attendees and sends them off with different people.”

It always sparks a heated debate, as it did when we discussed it with Fiz and Tyrone.

“Tim and Sally get along swimmingly and are like peas in a pod, which is why this story will resonate with our audience. There will be a lot riding on whether or not they can overcome this stumbling block.”
