Coronation Street spoilers: Shock as Max Turner discovers the truth of Amy Barlow’s spiking horror

In an upcoming episode of the ITV soap, Amy Barlow is spiked, and the teen surprisingly cracks the case.

Max (played by Paddy Bever) has been in the news recently for his ongoing feud with teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

The squabble escalated when the youngster trashed Daniel’s apartment before being pushed down the stairs and admitted to the hospital.

In scenes set to air next week, Max may be entitled to a redemption arc.

Amy (Elle Mulvaney) enjoys a taste of adulthood by attending a club with her friends and boyfriend Jacob, but the 18-year-old is unfortunately spiked prior to her outing.

Jacob (Jack James Ryan), a well-known criminal in Weatherfield, is the center of attention.

Max, on the other hand, unintentionally uncovers the truth about the incident when he is seen filming Amy’s Valentine’s dance before heading out on the town.

While Max may have been disappointed with the dance, he appears to have caught the culprit red-handed on film.

When Daniel asks him to download the dance footage for the cops, Max is taken aback by what he sees as he discovers who may be to blame for Amy’s escalating terror.

David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), his adoptive father, discovers the truth later.

Coronation Street icon Dev Alahan’s new love interest unveiled in affair twist?

He returns home with a police officer in tow, and Max hands over his camera, a valuable piece of evidence, to the officer.

In previous episodes, Amy held Max responsible for upskirting Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), with whom he had a close relationship.

This prompted Amy and Summer to organize a protest in the hopes of changing the school’s sexual harassment policies.

Summer took to social media to show her support for Amy, who was suspended for vandalizing school property.

Max was previously at the center of another storyline, accusing Daniel of having an inappropriate relationship with Summer.

But if he can figure out who spiked Amy, he might be able to avoid a worsening of his bad reputation.

Is he going to be able to establish Jacob’s innocence?

To find out, tune in to ITV.
