Grace Vickers said her goodbyes to the cobbles in tearful moments on Coronation Street last night (December 6), and actress Kate Spencer has now spoken out about her departure.
Kate took to Twitter after Grace’s final scenes to pay respect to her difficult character, who she has played since November 2019, and to express her love for Corrie.

She shared images of herself on set with some of her co-stars, including a very small one, as well as one of them enjoying a meal out.
The actress was praised by her fans, who reminisced about her “naughty” and “flawed” character and everything she did on the cobblestones.
On her Instagram account, the actress uploaded even more photographs, with her co-star Alexandra Mardell (Emma Brooker) describing her as “oh so fab.”
Grace was introduced as Michael Bailey’s (Ryan Russell) estranged girlfriend and the mother of his baby daughter Tianna in the first episode. Grace had been lying about Tianna’s identity and had been conducting paternity fraud against Michael, it was later revealed. Grace gave birth to her and Michael’s daughter Glory after serving time in prison, and the couple sought to restart their love – but eventually realised they were better off apart.
Grace had recently gotten into conflict with Michael’s parents, Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw), by blackmailing them into providing her a house and new furniture in order for her and Glory to stay close by.
Her exit from the cobbles was lined up when Grace began to abandon baby Glory at home. , before admitting to Aggie that she hadn’t wanted to be a mum. In her final episodes yesterday, Grace signed her parental rights over to Michael after being paid £20,000 by Ed and Aggie to move away and stay out of their lives.
After a final goodbye to Michael, tearful Grace wheeled her suitcase out of Weather field – but little does she know that Ed and Aggie have secretly arranged the production of a legal document stating that Grace is an unfit mother.
Grace may have abandoned Weather field, but it appears that if she returns, she will be faced with a number of challenges.
