Daniel Osbourne, who plays Summer Spellman on Coronation Street, was shocked tonight (December 8) when he was accused of having an inappropriate sexual contact with his teen student.
Max Turner notified the school principal about Daniel and Summer earlier this week, despite the fact that both of them vehemently denied it in the first episode.
Summer later admitted to Paul Foreman that the two had an emotional connection (which was wishful thinking on her part), and Paul suspected Summer of being groomed.
Because Paul has a horrible history of exploitation, he chose to report Daniel to the police, who arrested him and questioned him.
Summer acknowledged that she wasn’t the lady Daniel was sheltering in his flat in the second episode, so the cops let Daniel leave with a warning to keep away from her.
Daniel figured out that Paul had reported him and went after him, but Paul claimed that Summer had been brainwashed and urged him to stay away from her. Tracy Barlow threatened to expel Billy Mayhew and referred to Paul as an anti-vaxxer. Summer also slammed Paul, accusing him of having a girlfriend the entire time.
Summer was spotted crying in the park by Daisy Midgeley (Daniel’s now ex-girlfriend), and she confessed to having a tremendous crush on him and wanting to be with him one day, saying: “The indicators were misunderstood by me. However, there were no indications.”
Daisy then openly told Daniel that he was well aware that Summer had a crush on him, and that his good intentions, along with his ego, had “blurred the lines,” and that she had been mislead, even if it wasn’t on purpose.
Will she report this to the cops and assist in cleaning up the mess? Is it true, as Daniel thinks, that his teaching career is doomed?
