“Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon and Football Star Boyfriend Announce Second Pregnancy”

The Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon said that she and her partner Ryan Ledson are expecting their second child.

The 28-year-old actress Bethany Platt revealed the amazing news to her 571,000 Instagram fans in a heartwarming video that included their 1-year-old son, Sonny Jude.

Set to the music of The Cinematic Orchestra’s To Build a Home, Lucy and Ryan can be seen reading a book to Sonny before she unveils her baby bump.

We then see Sonny looking at scan pictures, and Lucy holding a pregnancy test.

She captioned it ‘half way there’, suggesting she is at 20 weeks pregnant.

The incredible news comes just half a year on from her return to the serial following a three year break.

Her ITVBe Drama Queens co-star Amy Walsh, best known as Tracey Robinson in Emmerdale commented: ‘Awwww congratulations beautiful.’

On-screen mum Tina O’Brien added a series of heart emojis, whilst Max Turner actor Paddy Bever wrote: ‘so happy for you’.

Charlotte Jordan, who plays barmaid Daisy Midgeley added: ‘the family is growingggggg the family is beautifullllll and bump is so lucky to have youuuuu.’

It looks set to be a busy time both for Lucy and her alter-ego Bethany in the coming months.

Earlier this month,  exclusively revealed that the ITV soap are lining up a topical new story for Bethany that will highlight the dangers of undergoing cosmetic surgery abroad.

The plot will soon see her become increasingly insecure about her appearance and decide to jet off abroad to go under the knife.

A source told: ‘This is a huge story for Bethany, and viewers will see her travel to a foreign clinic for cosmetic surgery. As with a lot of these unregulated procedures, it doesn’t exactly go to plan.’

Cosmetic tourism has hit the headlines in recent years with boob jobs, gastric bands, facelifts and ‘Turkey teeth’ surgeries becoming popular amongst Brits, who find it cheaper than paying privately in the UK.

The NHS website advises ‘weighing up potential savings against the potential risks’ as ‘safety standards may not be as high.’
