Lydia Chambers, a newcomer to CORONATION STREET, may soon be overtaken by jealousy as Daniel Osbourne grows closer to another woman.
On Coronation Street, Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) have been getting along swimmingly. Lydia is set to throw Daniel and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) back into each other’s orbit in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap. Daisy and Daniel’s history is unknown to the newcomer, and when she sees sparks fly between them, she may regret bringing them together.
Lydia and Daniel kissed for the first time on Christmas Eve, and they’ve been exploring their potential romantic relationship ever since.
On the ITV soap, however, she will be concerned about a discovery about his past.
Lydia congratulates Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) on the success of her anti-sexual harassment protest at Weatherfield High School in yet-to-air scenes.
However, she is piqued when Amy mentions that she and Daniel have recently reversed school suspensions.
Lydia interrogates Daniel later, and she is taken aback when he reveals how he was falsely accused of having an inappropriate relationship with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby).
Lydia confides in her friend Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) about her concerns about Daniel’s shady past because she needs someone to talk to.
Daisy, who had a brief relationship with Daniel before Christmas, overhears their conversation at the Rovers Return and decides to intervene.
Daisy defends Daniel and assures Lydia that he is a wonderful person.
Daniel is speechless when he learns from Sarah how Daisy sang his praises to Lydia.
Daniel goes to the pub to thank Daisy for her kind words about him, but he is taken aback when she suggests they get together for a drink soon.
Lydia notices a spark between Daniel and Daisy when she arrives at the Rovers, which perplexes her.
Is Lydia going to turn green with envy because of their obvious chemistry?
How would she react if Daniel ended their relationship and rekindled his romance with Daisy?
Rebecca, who plays Lydia, recently said there is a “genuine attraction” between her character and Daniel, explaining that they have “a lot in common”.
“I think they would be really good together,” she recently told Express.co.uk and other media.
“Like I say, I think they’ve got a lot in common, they’ve got a lot of similar interests, I think they would be really good together.”
The actress added: “You know, for Lydia, it’s just come [at] a really awkward time, because he has still got this thing with Daisy.
“And I think in sort of taking everyone else out of this situation, they probably would get on really well. And they probably have a nice, lovely little relationship.
“But that’s not how it works – not in the land of Corrie,” she explained.
Could Lydia plot revenge on new love trivial Daisy in a bid to keep Daniel all to herself?
