Tyrone Dobbs of Coronation Street is in danger of making matters worse tonight (September 17), after receiving rejections from Fiz Stape and Alina Pop.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) attempted an ill-fated reunion with Fiz after Alina left for Romania in Thursday’s hour-long episode.
Tyrone was in a bad spot as he realized he’d been left with no one while Fiz moved on with her new love interest Phill.
Tyrone’s week gets even worse when Phill shows up to drop off his car at the garage for a repair in Friday’s double bill.
Tyrone is clearly envious of Phill, so he takes advantage of the situation by rummaging through his vehicle for evidence.
When Tyrone discovers a napkin with a woman’s name and phone number written on it, he assumes he has struck gold.
Despite Kevin Webster’s (Michael Le Vell) concerns that this may signify anything and that he’s risking making a fool of himself by interfering, he pockets the dubious item.
Tyrone later shows up at Fiz’s house to babysit.
Tyrone’s envy erupts when Phill shows up to take a glammed-up Fiz on a date, and he drops the bombshell that he knows about Phill’s “other woman.”
Will Tyrone be able to catch Phill off guard, or will Kevin’s warning about him misreading the scenario prove to be correct?
Thursday’s program finished with the last surprise for Alina’s plot, with clues that she’d told Tyrone she wasn’t pregnant.
After a two-year stay on Coronation Street, Ruxandra Porojnicu, who played Alina, has left the show.
“And that’s a wrap on Corrie!” Ruxandra explained on Twitter. Thank you to everyone who has backed me up and encouraged me. It meant a lot.
“I had the privilege of working with some of the most outstanding individuals who are also humble and loving. They made me feel at ease and included in this lovely family. “Thank you, everyone!”
