In EastEnders, Chelsea Fox’s evil husband Gray Atkins has had a surprising reversal.
Gray had shown his dark side to his wife again earlier this week, but they were stopped from going any further when they received an emergency alert from the hospital about their son Jordan.
Gray was mortified at the hospital when he was joined by Kheerat Panesar on Friday’s (January 28) episode. Gray’s murder confession appeared to be on the verge of being obtained by Kheerat.
The killer admitted that he deserved to lose a child for what he’d done in the past, but he was interrupted before he could finish his confession. Instead, a doctor showed up with the news that Jordan might need a tracheotomy.
Kheerat was enraged that he hadn’t been able to get the confession he’d been working on for over a year. Gray became enraged when he smelled alcohol on Chelsea’s breath when she arrived at the hospital later.
Kheerat stepped in to protect Chelsea by claiming he’d paid for her drinking session while Gray was tearing into his wife in public. Gray then became enraged, accusing Kheerat of being obsessed with his wives.
Kheerat couldn’t help but feel hopeless about ever catching the serial killer after Gray warned him not to come near his family again.
Later, while checking in with Chelsea, Whitney attempted to keep the plan alive. When Chelsea objected to Gray, she told Whit that she’d seen a loving side of him when he acted quickly to approve Jordan’s surgery.
Chelsea then ordered Whitney and Kheerat to stay out of her marriage because she’d decided to stay with Gray, telling her: “I can’t believe I’ve let you pull me into this stupid game… There is no evidence!
“Marriage is complicated, Whitney! I hope that, one day, Whitney, you will understand that.”
“I think this is abuse, actually,” Whitney shot back.
Chelsea got upset and warned Whitney and Kheerat to “keep away”. How will they convince Chelsea to change her mind?
