EastEnders confirms explosion storyline as Callum gets arrested

The residents of Albert Square will be thrown into even more chaos next week, as EastEnders has confirmed an explosion storyline.

The residents of Walford are still reeling from the events of New Year’s Eve, when Aaron, acting on Neil’s orders, nearly detonated a bomb inside The Albert.

Despite the fact that Aaron (Charlie Wernham) has since been arrested, Kathy’s bar is still reeling from the unexpected turn of events.

Kathy explains to Callum that since New Year’s, the Prince Albert has been empty.

Kathy is also concerned about her son Ben, who admits that the injured man he saw in the hospital triggered him, and that he’s pushing Callum away so they don’t become targets.

Kathy tries to explain Ben’s situation to Callum in the hopes that he will understand.

Callum visits a struggling Ben and tells him he’s planning a party outside the Prince Albert after coming up with an idea. If he believes their marriage has a future, he also asks Ben to meet him there in an hour.

Shirley is also optimistic about the Albert party, hoping that it will bring her missing sister Tina back to Walford.

Unfortunately, when Jack arrives with a police officer, the evening quickly takes a turn for the worse. Due to noise complaints, he insists on the party being called off. Callum, on the other hand, is adamant that it remain open.

When Jack returns later to find the party still going strong, he becomes enraged and arrests Callum.

The next day, during the cleaning process at the Prince Albert, a bang goes off.

The terrifying turn of events has left everyone shaken, and it is later confirmed that the bang was caused by a gas explosion at the Argee Bhajee.

Fans will have to wait and see what happens next, but speculation about what this could mean for Gray’s sinister storyline has already begun.
