EastEnders’ Courtney Mitchell star Megan Jossa has changed a lot

Megan Jossa is a completely different person now than she was on EastEnders.

In 2006, the actress, who is Jacqueline Jossa’s cousin in real life, played Courtney Mitchell in the long-running serial drama.

She was the second actress to do so, succeeding Carissa and Josephine O’Meara.

Courtney Mitchell is the daughter of Tiffany (Martine McCutcheon) and Grant Mitchell, as longtime fans will know (Ross Kemp).

In the aftermath of her mother Tiffany’s death in 1999, the character left the Square, but returned in 2006, when Megan took over the role.

At the time, she was 11 years old.

Courtney was a thorn in Grant’s side because she refused to do as she was told, frequently argued with cousin Ben (Charlie Jones), and disliked Grant’s new girlfriend Carla.

Meanwhile, Courtney Mitchell didn’t return to EastEnders until 2016, when she returned home to Walford and reconnected with her father Grant.

At this point, the role was taken over by actress Alice Nokes.

Unaware that Mark Fowler (Ned Porteous) was her half-brother, the character developed feelings for him.
