EastEnders fans want justice for Kheerat after dramatic exit

Stacey Slater stunned EastEnders viewers this evening when she assisted a desperate Kheerat Panesar flee Albert Square.

In tonight’s episode (Tuesday, February 22), Chelsea returns home to find Gray bleeding on the floor, while Kheerat tries to explain what happened after their fight.

After Chelsea summoned an ambulance and the police, Kheerat bolted, telling his brother Vinny that he’d have to flee Walford because the cops were closing in on him.

At the end of the episode, Stacey bundled Kheerat into her car in a last-ditch attempt to keep him from being apprehended by the cops – but will it work?

After Tuesday night’s dramatic episode, fans were shocked and worried for Kheerat, with many expressing the hope that there will be evidence that he acted in self-defense during the fight.

“Chelsea was clearly acting out of quick response,” one fan wrote. What had happened as well as seeing Gray’s body astounded her.

“However, I wish she had listened to Kheerat. Chelsea would know that Kheerat acted in self-defense because he knows what Gray is like. Chelsea, for example, has seen the forum and is aware that Gray is capable of attacking people. I’m hoping there’s evidence in the house that Kheerat was acting in self-defense.”

Another added: “Omg hate Chelsea how can she betray Kheerat like that after everything he’s done for her, she don’t deserve to be helped now after doing that”, while a third chimed in: “Is there still hope for Stacey & Kheerat potentially?

Her desperately trying to help him escape kinda says a helluva lot about the exact depth of her real feelings, especially now she knows there’s nothing going on with Whitney.”

In another scene, a furious Kat confronted Tommy about the attack, and her rage grew when she learned that Phil was aware that her son was being bullied.

Suki attempted to persuade Honey to move Stacey and Eve’s van from the Minute Mart’s parking lot, while Howie assisted Kim in creating a video for Pearl’s scholarship application.

EastEnders resumes on Thursday night (February 24) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
