EastEnders health scare as Mitch Baker receives devastating diagnosis?

After deciding to improve his fitness with the help of Peter Beale, EASTENDERS’ Mitch Baker may soon discover he has an undiagnosed health condition.

In recent EastEnders scenes, Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths), Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), and Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) were on a mission to get Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) back on the dating scene. Will Mitch realize he’s suffering from a worrying health condition as the group signs up for Peter Beale’s (Dayle Hudson) fitness boot camp?

Mick decided to follow his friends’ advice and put Linda behind him in Thursday’s episode.

Before going to Ruby’s, Mitch, Harvey, and Rocky suggested the group go to the gym.

Mick noted: “I don’t see how getting all Mr Universe is going to help.”

Rocky quipped: “You’ve got to remember what [Mitch] said yesterday you’ve got to be lean…”

“Lean, mean and back on the scene,” Mitch interjected.

“I don’t mind doing the Mr Motivator thing I’m just not ready to meet women,” Mick remarked.

Rocky reasoned: “You’ve got to throw yourself in at the deep end and hope you remember how to swim.”

“We can be your armbands,” Harvey shared.

Mitch agreed: “We’ve all had our hearts broken we’re jumping off the same boat here.”

Peter gave the group workout schedules after they visited Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) gym.

“Right now, as you can see, you’ve all got personalised training schedules, so if you’re not seeing results in eight to ten weeks, lads, you’re just not working hard enough,” he said.

“With him being on steroids,” Mitch quipped.

“There are no steroids here there’s no replacement for hard work,” Peter hit back.

Mitch demanded: “Look I’m done with all this stretching where’s the bench press.”

“I don’t want anyone breaking a hip on my watch,” Peter joked.

Although Peter’s remark was made in jest, will Mitch discover a health condition he was previously unaware of if he decides to take his fitness seriously?

Mitch’s health will be scrutinized now that Peter has taken him under his wing.

Mitch may struggle to keep up with his friends who have all committed to a rigorous fitness regimen.

Mitch has been attempting to forget about his relationship woes since Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) stated that they would be better off as friends.

Will he disregard Peter’s advice to take it easy in the gym in order to impress his ex?

During the 10-week boot camp, Peter may notice a number of symptoms, leading him to believe Mitch is suffering from an undiagnosed illness.

Will Mitch listen to his concerns or dismiss them out of fear of worrying his family too much?
