EastEnders horror as Gray Atkins convinces Chelsea to make life-changing decision?

EASTENDERS fans have been watching with dread as it appears that history is repeating itself as Gray Atkins’ grip on Chelsea Fox tightens. Will he soon force her to make a disastrous decision?

Viewers of EastEnders know that manipulative Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) murdered his wife Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) after years of abuse. Despite this, a vulnerable Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) has recently been duped by his lies as she concentrates on their baby son, Jordan. Will Gray be able to persuade her to leave Walford as she continues to push family and friends away on his orders?

Chelsea agreed before Jordan was born that she would try to flee the Walford villain.

The new mother has been plotting various ways to get away from Gray with the help of Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol).

However, it appears that the evil lawyer is always one step ahead of her, and with Jordan’s unwillingness, Chelsea has been putting her own needs and fears about Gray on the back burner.

Whitney and Kheerat have been trying to keep Gray distracted while they try to help the new mother, but Friday’s episode revealed that Gray had brainwashed a vulnerable Chelsea.

“Please, just go,” she pleaded with Whitney after she came to the house to help her.

“Chelsea, Kheerat told me what happened,” Whitney replied, referring to Gray yelling at Chelsea for enjoying a day with her mother Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

“Did he tell you that Gray saved Jordan’s life today?” Chelsea cried.

“He just missed that bit out? The only people who truly care about Jordan are me and Gray.”

A concerned Whitney commented: “No, Chelsea – Kheerat is so worried about you.”

Recognising Gray’s grip on Chelsea, she added: “He just wants to know that you’re safe.”

“By wrecking my marriage?” Chelsea asked, tearfully.

She added: “I can’t believe I’ve let you pull me into this stupid game.”

Chelsea exploded when Whitney mentioned that she had seen evidence of Gray’s abuse.

“No, there is no evidence!” She screamed. “Marriage is complicated Whitney, and I hope that one day you will understand that.”

Whitney, a worried friend, reluctantly obeyed her order and left.

Gray, on the other hand, brings up this visit to Chelsea in later episodes after spotting Whitney on the doorbell camera.

He interrogates his wife about the reason for Whitney’s visit while at the hospital, and she insists she is only concerned about Jordan right now.

Denise returns later, heartbroken as Chelsea informs her that she is not permitted to see Jordan.

Kheerat tries to speak with Gray while looking for evidence, but he ignores him, so he turns to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) for assistance.

Kheerat offers to take some papers from Eve to the hospital in order to get on Gray’s good side.

Gray’s relief allows Kheerat to stay, which irritates Chelsea.

Chelsea later runs into a nurse who recognizes Gray from when he used to come in with Chantelle, and she is heartbroken to learn of the young mother’s death.

Chelsea brushes off the nurse’s offer of assistance if she needs it.

Kheerat and Chelsea finally get some alone time later.

He won’t be able to persuade her to leave Gray, however, because she believes that having Gray around during Jordan’s recovery is the best thing for him.

Gray may devise a strategy if he notices the nurse staring at him suspiciously.

He might be able to persuade Chelsea to leave the Square with him and the kids in order to further isolate her from her family.

Will Kheerat and Whitney be able to persuade Chelsea to reconsider, or will she opt-out?
