EastEnders horror as market tragedy sees beloved character hospitalised?

Fans of EASTENDERS know that many of the show’s most beloved characters work in Walford’s market, but official spoilers have revealed that an upcoming tragedy could result in one of the market’s most beloved employees being hospitalized.

Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) was recently appointed as Walford’s market inspector, but she has no idea that she only got the job because ex-Martin Fowler (James Bye) turned down the position so she could get it. In future episodes of the BBC soap, the couple may come to regret their choices after a routine workday turns tragic.

Is it possible that Stacey will be seriously hurt in the upcoming storyline?

After learning the truth about Martin being offered the job first, Stacey is enraged.

Viewers are aware that Martin was offered the job despite Stacey’s wife Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) altering her CV to give her an advantage in the interview.

He declined the offer after realizing how much Stacey wanted it.

His ex-wife, on the other hand, is unappreciative of the gesture, and the two end up arguing in the street.

When Stacey’s daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) learns of the news, she tries to cheer her mother up.

She gives Stacey a pep talk about how well she’ll handle the job, but the market is still in chaos.

Stacey ends up with trash all over her as she tries to sort through the chaos while Martin looks on.

He laughs at Stacey, amused, but she admits she despises her job.

When disaster strikes, Stacey is in the middle of a rant at Martin about how he has made her life a living hell.

She walks into the path of an oncoming car while backing away from him.

How seriously could the iconic character be hurt?

Martin is likely to rush to her aid, but could he be held responsible for the horrific accident that follows their altercation?

Eve, Stacey’s wife, married her for the sake of convenience after their time in prison together, but she is fiercely protective of her friend.

She isn’t known for holding back, and once she learns what happened, she may lash out at Martin.

To make matters worse, the Slaters are in desperate need of money, and the job was critical to keeping the family together.

Martin may be asked to fill in if she is unable to work due to her injury.

Will this drive a further wedge between the estranged couple?

Martin seemed ready to make amends with Stacey after the drama Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) caused when she first came out of prison a few months ago.

He admitted to Stacey: “I messed up with Ruby and you going to prison, I want to be there for the kids and for you.”

Stacey admitted she thought Martin was “a complete idiot” and went on to reveal she had remarried whilst being away.

Stacey said: “I wanted to meet you because I need your help.

“I need to tell the kids something, and I don’t think I can do it on my own.”

He was taken aback by her news and is still adjusting to the fact that Stacey has moved on.

However, if Stacey is seriously injured, Martin may rediscover how much he cares for her.

He might suggest they get back together so he can help support the family, especially if she needs to stay in the hospital for an extended period of time.
