After reportedly being hit with a driving ban, Jamie Borthwick stepped out for dinner with Barbara Windsor’s widow Scott Mitchell on Thursday at Scott’s restaurant.

It comes after the actor made headlines earlier this week after being accused of receiving a six-month driving ban.
Jamie, who has been a part of the popular soap since he was 12, has reportedly irritated EastEnders executives because he is now unable to drive from East London to Borehamwood, where the show is filmed.
‘EastEnders bosses are furious,’ a source told The Sun. It’s not appealing.
‘If his soap bosses provide him with a driver, other stars will demand the same.’
Jamie was dining with Dame Barbara’s widow, more than a year after she died of Alzheimer’s disease in 2020 at the age of 83.
She was diagnosed with neurological disease in 2014, and for the next four years, she kept her illness a secret.
‘Her passing was from Alzheimer’s/dementia, and Barbara eventually died peacefully, and I spent the last seven days by her side,’ Scott said after her death.
‘Myself, her family, and friends will remember Barbara with love, a smile, and affection for the many years of love, fun, friendship, and brightness she brought to all of our lives, as well as the entertainment she provided to so many others during her career.’

Barbara starred in EastEnders for over 20 years as Peggy Mitchell.
Between 1964 and 1974, the late actress starred in a number of Carry On films, including Carry On Spying, Carry On Doctor, and Carry On Camping.
Barbara’s final weeks, according to Scott, were “typical of how she lived her life” and “full of humour, drama, and a fighting spirit until the end.”
