Kush Kazemi makes a painful confession in the first look at Monday’s EastEnders episode.
The most recent episode on Friday finished off with Kush (Davood Ghadami) losing a high-stakes poker game against Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), where the Slater family’s house was on the line.
Next week, Kush will be desperate to find a way out of the family having to vacate their longtime home, as per the stipulation of his poker game with Suki.
Kush approaches Suki to ask if there’s any other arrangement they can work out, but she holds firm that he must honor the terms of their game.
His best mate Martin Fowler (James Bye) also starts feeling extremely guilty that he stood by while Kush gambled his home away, especially because his wife Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) won’t come clean about whether she was in on the plot.
There is unrest within the Panesar family as well since Kheerat realizes that his mum Suki’s poker skills weren’t completely on the level.
Even though Kush correctly suspects that Suki set him up to lose the game, he finally comes clean about his downward spiral in a heart-to-heart discussion with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Kush admits that he’s developed an addiction to gambling and needs help, but Stacey isn’t ready to let things stand since the family is about to lose their home.
