During a weekend getaway, EastEnders star Max Bowden shared a very rare photo with his girlfriend.
The actor, who plays Ben Mitchell in the BBC soap, shared a photo of himself and Roisin at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, where they spent some much-needed time together.
The 27-year-old wrapped his arm around his partner and posed for a quick selfie, which Max shared on Instagram.
He wrote alongside the image: “Country getaway [heart emoji]. Happy birthday @spark.marc.”
In the comments section, fans complimented the couple.
One person gushed: “Such Beauties.”
“Enjoy ur weekend getaway Enjoy the perfect moment together ❤ aww xx,” a second commented.
And a third added: “Lovely couple. Happy for you both.”
Following a difficult 2021, Max appeared to be happier than ever.
He recently made headlines when the BBC crew rallied around him, offering support following the tragic deaths of three of his friends.
The actor admitted that he “isn’t doing great,” with his workmates working behind the scenes to make his days a little easier to bear.
He shared a photo of a card he received from the EastEnders costume department on his Instagram Stories last month.
“Hey Max,” the card read. Just wanted to say that we understand you’re having a bad day right now, but we’re always here if you need to vent or cry.
“Keep doing your best because we think you’re great.”
“I work with some amazing people,” the actor captioned the photo, clearly moved by the gesture.
Annie, Inca, Becky, and Meg from the costume department signed the message with love.
He then shared a heartbreaking photo of a gift his late best friend Maxwell Thompson had given him in order to ask him to be best man at a wedding scheduled for April of this year.
Maxwell passed away in September, and the actor shared a touching tribute to his friend.
“Thank you for walking every avenue with me for 15 years, for entering into battle with me every time, for lighting up my every minute of every day, and for loving me like you did,” he wrote.
“I will never have a better friend, and I will never love a man so much in my life. You were my soulmate, my rock, my ride or die, my everything – and I am so grateful that I got to call you my best friend. I am so so lucky.”
Luke Goodings, a close friend of his, died in June, just months before the tragic death.
Terry Mills, a friend of his, died in a hospital in Cancun, Mexico, in February after a battle with Covid.
