As Brian Conley discusses Christmas storylines, fans of EASTENDERS may be in for an unexpected reappearance of an iconic character.
EastEnders’ Brian Conley, who plays Tom ‘Rocky’ Cotton, has teased an unexpected return to Walford Square from a famous great. Brian talked about what fans might expect throughout the holiday season and hinted at the return of a much-loved and beloved character.
Brian’s character has been duping Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) into believing he is her biological father when, in fact, he is Dotty Cotton’s (Millie Zero) uncle for the past few months.
He attempted to tell the truth about what he had been doing after feeling bad about his schemes, but he became unwell with a heart attack.
In an interview with Express.co.uk, Brian Conley discussed how his character will react if his true identity is revealed.
He said: “I think he would make a good cup of tea for Dot Branning (June Brown), and probably have another heart attack!”
Brian also spoke about what fans can expect to see in upcoming scenes for the residents of Walford, he said: “Well, we all thought [the letter] was gone, and Dotty had taken it with various spam mail.
“So, he never expected this, and he’s filled with dread and terror, fearful that this will ruin not only Christmas but everything, absolute panic!”
He can’t go there; he’s cornered, down the rabbit hole, and I don’t think he can even consider it for his own good health!
“He is just trying to take one day at a time. I just don’t think he can think about it all in one go, the true implication, otherwise, it’s going to escalate and him having another heart attack.”
Fans of the BBC soap flocked to Twitter to express their excitement for what might happen to Rocky during the holidays.
Twitter user @HollyWe16626271 wrote: “The fact that Rocky’s downfall is likely to happen before Gray is just…wow #eastenders.”
@amyyy_amy added: “I feel sorry for Sonia and Kathy when they eventually find out about Rocky!! #EastEnders.”
@RyanGTweetsTV also commented: “Rocky and Dotty should be very lucky if Sandy has seen the contents of that letter then she holds all the power, and she’s gonna be the one to blow their cover as Xmas.
“I hope Dotty gets thrown out, she needs to be put in her place.”
Dotty has been assisting her mother, Sandy Gibson (Martha Cope), in her recovery from heroin addiction and return to the square.
She put her up in a bedsit in order to help her become clean, and she has been surreptitiously supplying her with a restricted amount of medicines in order to wean her off of them.
Christmas has always been full of drama, and this year will be no exception since many of the people are about to face their demise.
Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) could be one of them, as Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) reveals the truth about his murders.
She saw his controlling and abusive behavior for the first time after previously being in a relationship with him.
Gray’s dirty activities may soon be discovered, as he prepares to marry his pregnant fiancée Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
Gray has been tugging many puppet strings since killing Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer), Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White), and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).
The Fox family may be in jeopardy if Gray takes his rage out on them, as Whitney could reveal his misdeeds.
Will Whitney be able to persuade Chelsea to leave Walford, or will she continue to marry the serial killer?
