EastEnders scandal as iconic resident returns from the dead in Mitchell takedown plot?

Fans of EASTENDERS will recall when ‘Dirty’ Den Watts returned from the dead, but could another iconic character be on the way?

Tamzin Outhwaite’s character Mel Owen was last seen in EastEnders in 2019, when she was tragically killed after walking into oncoming traffic. The single mother was killed while believing she could hear her son Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) calling to her. However, the BBC soap star has hinted that she might be able to return to Walford.

Mel became obsessed with revealing the true paternity of Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) baby before she died.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) had no idea at the time that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was pregnant with both Sharon and Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper).

Mel’s paternity claims were dismissed before her death, but Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) later realized her friend was telling the truth and vowed to exact vengeance on the Mitchells.

Lisa was enraged with Sharon, accusing her of betraying her daughter and blaming her for Mel’s death.

After the truth was revealed, Lisa, Louise, and baby Peggy moved to Portugal.

Tamzin, a regular on EastEnders, has teased a possible way for her to return to Walford and avenge Sharon for her wrongdoings.

Speaking at the Together for Short Lives ball last year, Tamzin remarked: “I would come back [to EastEnders] as a ghost.”

“I’d like to come back as a matriarch ghost,” she teased.

Spoilers from EastEnders confirm Phil will meet with Sharon to pass on deeds to her so that she can handle his affairs.

The shady dealer is facing life in prison and doesn’t believe Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) can take command.

When Louise and Lisa learn that Phil has given his businesses to the woman who betrayed their family, how will they react?

Fans have seen Phil listen to the voices of Peggy Mitchell (Dame Barbara Smith) and Grant Mitchell in recent scenes (Ross Kemp).

Could Mel make an appearance to Lisa and Louise as EastEnders viewers watch them react to Phil’s decision?

When Louise left Walford after breaking down because she thought she’d killed Keanu, she was in a bad way.

Could she be ready to take over the Mitchell empire now that she’s had time to adjust to being a new mother?

Louise’s mother has many bad memories of Walford, but Lisa would be determined to help her daughter.

If Lisa assists Louise in taking Sharon’s businesses, she may see it as a way to avenge Mel’s death.

Meanwhile, Phil continues to struggle with the realities of life behind bars.

He dumped Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) without warning and without telling her the truth about his prison sentence.

Sharon gave her ex-husband an ultimatum, threatening to tell Kat everything if he didn’t comply.

Could Sharon, by a stroke of luck, enlist the help of her betrayed former step-daughter to persuade Phil to see reason?

Louise would understandably avoid Sharon, but she might listen to her concerns.

Will Louise return to persuade her father that she and her brother Ben are capable of functioning without him?
