EastEnders’ Sean Slater makes surprise return to BBC soap and fans are thrilled

Sean Slater made a surprise return to the BBC One soap during tonight’s episode, which delighted fans. Viewers are now clamoring for Sean to return to the show on a permanent basis.

Fans were ecstatic when Sean Slater made a surprise return to EastEnders tonight.

Sean, played by Rob Kazinsky, made a brief return to the BBC One soap today, as he chatted with Jean via FaceTime after moving abroad, which pleased viewers.

Stacey Slater has been concerned about her mother’s mental health, and she has asked her brother to contact her after Jean made sexual advances toward Rocky that made him feel very uncomfortable.

Stacey decided to call her brother to see if he could help with Jean’s mental health, and her sibling reassured her: “Together, we’ll figure it out. We’ll take care of everything. Oh, and Stace, please calm down.”

He then dialed Jean’s number, and while she was pleased to hear from him at first, she soon realized it was Stacey who had set up the call, as he inquired about Harvey and questioned her about why she was “talking a little fast.”

“I honestly believe you two are as bad as each other,” Jean said, realizing they were working together.

Fans were ecstatic to see Sean back on the show, even if it was only for a few episodes, as one fan wrote: “It was great to see Sean tonight; I wonder if he’s back for good? #EastEnders.” Another was added: “Sean’s return is all I can think about; it’s as if we need him back now. #EastEnders.”

“That Sean phone call made me literally scream bring him back right now #Eastenders,” said a third, while a fourth added, “Come back, Sean.” #EastEnders, your presence on the square is more important than ever.”

On Twitter, a fifth ecstatic fan wrote: “I’m so glad that the Sean we know and love remains the same. SEAN RETURNING ON FACETIME HAS BROUGHT ME SO MUCH JOY YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND #EastEnders,” a sixth wrote. There are no recasts or anything like that.”

“It was great to see Sean Slater in #EastEnders. “I hope we see him again at some point,” said a seventh, while another wished for a long-term return: “Honestly wish they’d bring Sean back permanently.” It would be fascinating to see how the dynamics would play out.”

In November of last year, Sean returned to the show to question Stacey about her relationship with Eve.

“Earlier this year, thanks to the global pandemic and a thankfully difficult work schedule, I was able to visit my family in the UK for the first time in years,” he told Metro.co.uk of his regular appearances on the show.

“I sent Kate Oates an email while I was packing my bags.” It was really simple; I live in LA and try to see my family at least once a year, if circumstances allow, so I figured why wouldn’t Sean do the same? “Would you like to come in for a cup of tea?”
