After the drama of EastEnders last week, we need to take a breather.
A fire swept through Phil Mitchell’s house on Albert Square, Jean Slater was arrested, and Ruby Allen’s scheming activities were exposed in recent episodes of the BBC One serial.
Jean Slater was successful in framing Ruby for drug distribution in Friday night’s program, and the nightclub owner was arrested as a result.
As they drove away from Walford in a police car, a final twist revealed that Ruby was definitely pregnant with Martin Fowler’s kid, despite his disbelief.
As if that wasn’t enough, Janine Butcher and Stacey Slater have returned to our screens.
So, here’s what you can expect from EastEnders this week.
Ruby Allen’s revenge on Martin Fowler
Last week, a pregnant Ruby Allen departed Albert Square in a police cruiser after being detained for drug peddling as a result of Jean framing her.
Martin Fowler, Ruby’s husband, gets home with his and Stacey’s children to find furniture being taken from the house and a moving van outside as the new week begins.
Martin soon learns via Ruby’s assistant Dotty Cotton that the house has been placed up for sale, and he is without a home.
Dotty also informs Martin that Ruby has temporarily given her leadership of the nightclub, and as a result, he is sacked.
Martin reaches a breaking point later in the week as a result of Ruby’s newest heartbreaking decision, but happily, his pal Zack Hudson has a plan to help.
Jean Slater reunites with Stacey Slater
Stacey Slater and Jean Slater reunite.
Jean Slater will pay a long-awaited visit to daughter Stacey Slater next week, despite being charged with cocaine possession.
Jean does have some good news for Stacey since she is no longer terminally ill with cancer and is still in remission.
Jean updates Stacey on all the turmoil with Martin and Ruby when paying her a visit, and they talk about their future plans.
How much longer till Stacey reappears in Albert Square?
Rocky Cant turns nasty
Terry “Rocky” Cant is not pleased to hear Sonia Fowler discussing their forthcoming date with new love interest Ethan.
In the meantime, Rocky tries to put on a show with Whitney Dean performing, but she is too anxious and cancels.
Despite this, Whitney shows up and performs brilliantly, making it to the competition’s final.
When Rocky sees Ethan kissing a woman who isn’t Sonia at the pub, things get out of hand.
Rocky loses control of his rage and hits Ethan before being escorted away by security.
Ethan later tries to make peace with Sonia, who rejects him and considers putting some of her Dot Branning bequests in a new property project from Rocky.
Rocky, still enraged by Ethan’s actions, takes additional action against him.
Rocky and Kathy Beale rekindle their romance, but will there be more tragedy ahead?
Dana Monroe was beaten in a bigoted attack
Cabbie Harvey Monroe tries to persuade his daughter Dana to reconsider her love with Bobby Beale, while he puts any future romance with Kathy Beale on hold.
Bobby and Dan go out with Waseem, Iqra, and Kioni later in the week to hand out flyers for the new mosque.
A passing gang of males confronts the group and makes nasty comments and racist slurs.
Harvey also comes over to show his support but ends up making an insensitive joke, much to the group’s dismay.
Later, Bobby confronts Harvey and expresses his love for Dana while promising to protect her.
Later, when Bobby, Dana, Iqra, and Kioni are attacked by the gang from earlier, Bobby can only watch helplessly as Dana is severely beaten.
Bobby is devastated that he was unable to protect Dana.
Sheree Trueman is a con artist.
Following the fire at the Mitchells’ home, Isaac Baptiste invites his girlfriend Lola Pearce and her daughter Lexi to move in with him after misinterpreting a remark made by the Mitchells’ mother Sheree.
Lexi’s father, Ben Mitchell, is not pleased with the new living arrangements and tells Isaac that Lexi will not be able to live with him.
Meanwhile, Isaac’s father, Patrick Trueman, agrees to Isaac and Sheree moving in together, but Sheree tries to persuade Patrick that Isaac needs to leave Walford and relocate to Trinidad for his own good.
By the end of the week, Isaac is seeking new employment, and Sheree is pressuring Isaac to accompany her and Patrick on their trip to Trinidad.
Isaac, on the other hand, wants to stay in Walford with Lola.
Denise Fox learns from Walford Primary’s headmaster that the school wants Isaac back at work, and that she had told Sheree about it as well, contradicting Sheree’s claim that he was unwelcome.
Sheree is preoccupied with attempting to sell the house, and when confronted by Denise, she admits that her plans to visit Trinidad are permanent.
Is Sheree’s strategy going to work?
The Carters fight the Highways in a war of attrition.
After Rainie Highway’s outburst in Queen Vic, Linda Carter is insistent that Mick will be listed as the legal father of baby Annie, despite the fact that the biological father is Max Branning.
Rainie is determined to uncover the truth in order to return Max – and baby Abi – to Walford.
However, after daughter Nancy sees leaflets around the Square concerning the paternity of baby Annie, Mick acts out in an attempt to protect Linda.
Rainie and her husband Stuart are concerned about a false charge as a result of Mick’s behavior.
Stuart pays a visit to the pub as a result, and issues Mick a strong warning, threatening anyone who damages the Highway family.
What are the Carters’ plans for the future?
Janine Butcher finds romance
Scarlett Butcher is shocked when her mother Janine realizes that Friday is the first day of school the following week.
Scarlett is resistant to Janine’s attempts to persuade her that she wants to make amends and be there for her.
Janine is advised by Kat Moon to find a respectable job and avoid participating in any further cons.
Despite her efforts, Janine is turned down by every establishment in the Square.
Later, Janine is astonished by a visit from Dr. Cole, who asks her to assist her in treating patients in yet another con.
Janine’s sexual tension with Zack Hudson escalates later at Ruby’s nightclub.
Is it possible that a new romance is on the cards?
