The Carter family learned the shocking truth about how their beloved Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) died on tonight’s episode of EastEnders, as evil Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) confessed to police off-screen.
Gray was finally apprehended last week after a two-year reign of terror that saw him murder his first wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), then Tina and Kush Kazemi (Davoood Ghadami).
He also attempted to murder his wife Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) and had a final confrontation with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) pleaded with copper Callum Highway (Tony Clay) to get inside information in order to help the clan in some way, which resulted in Wednesday’s (March 16) development.
Callum eventually gave in, and Zack was seen later telling Shirley (Linda Henry) and Mick (Danny Dyer) that Gray had confessed to the cops. Gray strangled Tina to death in December 2020 after she confronted him about killing Chantelle, as viewers are already aware.
Gray wrapped Tina’s body in a shower curtain and put her in the boot of his car, according to Zack.
This was the point at which Mick realized he’d spoken to the evil Gray the night before, implying Tina was in the boot at the time.
While Shirley took solace in the fact that Tina’s pain was brief, Mick couldn’t get past the fact that he had been so close to the crime scene just minutes before it happened.
Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) approached Mick as he was crying and offered him some comfort. Mick confided in her his anguish over Tina’s ordeal, and he shared memories of happier times with her.
Can the Carters begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered world now that Gray has been honest about what he has done?
