As Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) wakes up from last night’s humiliating moment with Jean Slater, there’s an awkward atmosphere in tonight’s EastEnders.
It follows Jean’s increasingly erratic mental state, which led her to imprison Rocky and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) at a car lot in order to get them to talk again.
While Harvey was annoyed by Jean, Rocky saw the humor in her and didn’t hold it against her when she explained herself.
Later, while the two were enjoying a friendly drink at the Queen Vic, Jean’s behavior became increasingly erratic, and she followed Rocky into the gents, where she suggested they have sex.
Rocky was soon declaring the word as he rushed away in horror, with Jean merely letting out a frustrated sigh in his wake, thanks to Jean’s safe word shortbread.’
Rocky is extremely uncomfortable in Jean’s presence, as shown in the above EastEnders teaser, as a result of her indecent proposal. However, Jean is acting normally, eagerly greeting beau Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) after a night of cab fares.
Rocky is waking up on the sofa as Harvey brings up the subject of his previous quarrel with Jean.
Jean offers him breakfast, but he makes a hasty excuse that is noticed by an oblivious Harvey.
‘What’s the matter with him?’ he inquires of Jean, who simply responds, ‘hormones.’
Will Rocky’s major gaffe come to light tonight, with Rocky so intent on avoiding Jean?
What will Harvey’s reaction be? What’s next for Jean, who is on the verge of losing control?
