Emmerdale airs more Meena Jutla drama as villagers clash

The fallout from Meena Jutla’s crimes continues to divide Emmerdale’s villagers tonight (January 31).

Meena (Paige Sandhu) was recently identified as the killer of Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker, and Andrea Tate.

Meena was also to blame for the maize maze fire, according to Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade). Priya, who had suffered serious burns in the fire, found the news difficult to accept.

Priya’s unfair blaming of Meena’s sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) for everything begins to spread around the village in Monday’s episode.

Priya confronted Manpreet last week, claiming that she had to know what Meena was really like.

Priya suggested that Manpreet was to blame for bringing Meena into everyone’s lives as her emotions boiled over.

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is concerned about Priya’s treatment of Manpreet in the most recent scenes.

Liam decides to assist, so he pays Priya a visit at work and tries to reason with her. Meena’s actions have also had a negative impact on Liam, but will Priya be willing to listen?

Despite the fact that Meena is currently absent from the village, Emmerdale executives have confirmed that she will return in future episodes.

Meena recently learned that Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) are planning a Valentine’s Day wedding. She vowed to return to the village and deliver a nasty surprise to them.

“We’ve already seen Billy and Dawn get engaged on screen, and I don’t think I’m giving too much away by telling you that their wedding is definitely going to happen this year,” Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw teased recently.

“It does happen on the most romantic day of the year – Valentine’s Day – so there’s not too long to wait for their wedding.

“But will it all go to plan? Is it going to be happy-ever-after for these two or will disaster strike? I suspect it’s probably going to be the latter.”
