Emmerdale Alex Moss star Kurtis Stacey now – hunky snaps, quiz show fame, and new career

Emmerdale’s favorite hunky farmhand Alex Moss was killed off on Christmas Eve 2012, murdered at the hands of soap villain Cameron Murray – but where is actor Kurtis Stacey now?

Fans of Emmerdale will recall hunky farmhand Alex Moss, who worked at Butlers Farm under John Barton’s instruction from 2011 to 2012.

Alex’s rugged looks turned many ahead in the village, leaving plenty of hearts shattered. With ties to characters like Moira and her daughter Holly and son Adam, Alex’s rugged looks turned many ahead in the community, leaving plenty of hearts broken.

Alex was ruthlessly murdered by serial murderer Cameron Murray on Christmas Eve of 2012, after uncovering the truth about the murder of Carl King, after nearly two years in the town.

Alex was kidnapped and held captive in a vehicle before escaping – but with Cameron on his tail, it wasn’t long before he was tortured to death and buried on the grounds of Home Farm – his body was discovered in July 2013.

But what has actor Kurtis Stacey been up to since leaving Emmerdale?

Quiz show fame

Kurtis returned to the legendary Mastermind chair for a special celebrity edition of the show less than a year after departing Emmerdale.

Kurtis chose the life and films of his “hero,” Arnold Schwarzenegger, as his specialist subject, and appeared well prepared for his quiz show appearance following a performing arts academic career.

The actor, who was born and reared in Liverpool, received three honors in his national diploma in performing arts, but despite his impassioned performance, he finished fourth in the competition.

Since leaving Emmerdale, he’s worked on a number of projects.

In 2017, he played the main character, Chris, in the horror film The Thirteenth, in which he travels to a distant island in pursuit of buried wealth and finds more than he bargained for.

He’s currently in pre-production for his role in Dagon: Troll World Chronicles as Pressure, as well as producing short films like Recoil in 2018.

Kurtis also builds a reputation for himself in pantomime shows throughout the United Kingdom.

Incredible transformation

Kurtis has come a long way since his days on Emmerdale, and it’s safe to say he’s a completely different person now.

Though fans are used to seeing him with a shaved head, the actor now has a stylish haircut that includes a shaved undercut, swept-back fringe, and longer, floppier curls on top.

Kurtis’ enormous biceps and strict lifestyle demonstrate his dedication to fitness.

“We must all face one of two things: the agony of discipline or the pain of disappointment,” the star wrote on Twitter. If you really want something, you’ll find a way to get it. You’ll find an excuse if you don’t.”

Kurtis contrasted one of his famous topless Emmerdale scenes to a shirtless image from 2016, and while he already looked fantastic in the before snaps, he’s practically unrecognizable in the after snaps.

Career change

Though he continues to dabble in acting, Kurtis’ primary interest is fitness, which is evident in his work.

He now contributes a column to BestFit Magazine and works as a social media influencer for brands such as MyProtein and Liverpool gyms.

Kurtis revealed in a 2021 piece that he had been “struggling” a lot during the Covid epidemic and mentioned “mental wealth” as a coping mechanism.

He wrote: “I myself have a collection of self-help and psychology books which I like to refer to when I’m feeling stressed or anxious.

“If you’re having an off day, you’re feeling a bit depressed, tired, or simply can’t be bothered – you can refer to your Mental Wealth toolbox and overcome any obstacle to get you through whatever is in your way.”

Grisly injury

His new workout routine, however, hasn’t been without its share of gruesome injuries, with the actor suffering from not one, but two dislocated shoulders, necessitating treatment.

“Like most individuals who workout for cosmetic purposes, I would tend to focus on the outside – therefore forgetting about the joints, tendons, stability, and range of motion,” he said in his BestFit magazine column.

“This had to change over a year ago, [when] I dislocated both of my shoulders. Ouch!

“After thinking I had fixed the problem, I began to notice I was having a reoccurring pain in my right shoulder – not when training, but in the hours following.”

Kurtis eventually sought professional treatment and did exercise rehabilitation and physiotherapy, but it doesn’t sound like much fun!

Hunky snaps

The guy is frequently spotted working out at the gym, and he isn’t afraid to share a variety of hunky photos with his Twitter followers.

Kurtis can be seen near a weights machine with his huge biceps on full display while wearing a blue polo shirt in one photo.

His chiseled jaw was apparent to the camera as he peered off into the distance while planning his next workout with his head inclined slightly to the side.

Kurtis was photographed facing the camera with his arms folded and a smattering of artful stubble over his jaw in another photo.

Kurtis also shared a photo of himself wearing an Antonia’s Law face mask, his hair swept to one side and slicked back with gel as he stared at the camera, captioning the photo: “Join the #AntoniasLaw Campaign to fight for CCTV in Care Homes… it’s time to put an end to the abuse & neglect of our loved ones.”

Emmerdale airs on ITV at 7 p.m. on weekdays.
