Emmerdale betrayal as Rhona Goskirk and Marlon Dingle torn apart forever over secret?

Over the past four decades, EMMERDALE has been rocked by many secrets, but one of the most twisted may be about to tear Rhona Goskirk and Marlon Dingle apart, as it appears one of them will be kept in the dark about some shocking information.

Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) are in one of their strongest positions in Emmerdale, and nothing seems to be able to break their bubble at the moment, despite financial issues and their children. However, as previously revealed, Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) will be at the center of a new storyline on the ITV soap as it is revealed that he has a son. The young man will make himself known to Rhona as it becomes clear that he needs to talk to her about her father’s past in order for her to understand who he is. However, as she tries to assist newcomer Marcus Dean (Darcy Grey), she will want to keep the information from her partner because she is afraid of the consequences, but she may end up causing a lot of harm.

Pierce killed Rhona’s lover Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and came close to killing Vanessa Woodfield the last time he appeared in the village (Michelle Hardwick).

Pierce will remain in prison, but she will be concerned that another of her lovers will be killed as a result of his presence, whether through a secret son or in person.

Rhona will want to figure out what Marcus wants from her before allowing him to break down the first barrier she has built around herself.

As she spends more time with the attractive stranger, he may form a bond with him, but when Marlon discovers what she’s been hiding from him, the village will be rocked.

When Rhona receives a letter next week, she is hesitant to open it, and Vanessa encourages her to throw it away.

She discovers, against Vanessa’s wishes, that her ex-husband is dying and needs help finding his son after reading the letter.

Despite her friend’s repeated requests that she leave it alone and not help the villain, Rhona decides to lend a hand.

Vanessa threatens to tell Marlon if her friend does not stop this quest, knowing that keeping him in the dark is a huge betrayal of their relationship.

Still curious, Rhona informs her friend that she has checked with the prison and discovered Pierce is telling the truth.

She starts her search for his hidden son on social media, but finds no trace of him and is unsure where to go next.

This prompts her to seek assistance from Ryan Stocks (James Moore), and it isn’t long before the technical wizard hands her a number.

Vanessa confides in her once more, saying she has made contact with Pierce’s son and is awaiting his response.

The newcomer does indeed leave a voicemail, but Vanessa intercepts it before Rhona has a chance to listen to it.

She agrees to meet with the attractive stranger and pretends to be her friend in order to warn him to avoid the village.

Rhona, on the other hand, appears to be aware of Vanessa’s activities, as she arrives shortly after and is surprised to see Pierce’s son standing in front of her.

Marcus asks why Rhona contacted him in the first place after interrupting the women arguing about the situation.

During their conversation, the village vet is forced to admit that his father is dying and that he wants to see him before he passes away.

Meanwhile, Marlon is blissfully unaware of everything that is going on and the danger his partner may be putting herself in.

He’ll be furious and demand answers if he discovers Pierce was involved in keeping Marcus a secret from him.

With Rhona pleading with him to forgive her for betraying him, the two characters who have been trying to get together for years may finally be reunited.

Zoe, who plays Rhona, has spoken out about her new storyline to Express.co.uk and other outlets, teasing that there will be drama because Marlon is kept in the dark.

Explaining why her character doesn’t tell Marlon, the actress said: “Because she’s trying to protect him.

“She knows how badly what happened two years ago [Graham’s murder] had on him because Marlon was in prison [for murder].

“And so she’s just shielding him from it. She considers telling him because it is the right thing to do.

“But he’s got enough going on with the pub and everything [so she doesn’t really want to tell him the truth about Marcus].”

The soap star expressed how much she has enjoyed playing Rhona and Marlon’s on-again, off-again romance over the years.

Zoe explained: “I’ve made no secret of it but I am a big fan of them.

“I believe that bringing together people who are friends or have a history of working together will yield better results.”

“So, returning to Mark [the actor who plays Marlon], Mark and I have known each other for 22 years, which is an inexcusably long time.”

However, I believe it serves as a shorthand when you’re on set and want to add something else to the scene, and I hope that comes across.

“We do enjoy working together, it’s good fun,” she continued but is it finally time for the two characters to part ways?
