Fans of EMMERDALE may need to brace themselves for an explosion in the coming months, as one of the town’s residents is facing financial ruin.
When the consequences of the Survival Week at The Hop come back to haunt Jai Sharma (played by Chris Bisson), he will find himself in a hazardous situation.
To stay afloat, the Emmerdale businessman will take extraordinary measures, but will this culminate in a village explosion as Jai resorts to all means required to avoid bankruptcy?
Several Emmerdale residents participated in an activities adventure organized by Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits in October 2021. (HOP).
Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) died in a maze fire this week after watching Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) attempt to drown Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).
In the aftermath of one of the bridges collapsing, Meena attacked the mother of one.
On the bridge at the moment were Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
Victoria and David caused the accident by attempting to cross the bridge despite the fact that there was a limit on the number of persons allowed on it at any given moment.
Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) was also severely burned in the fire, and her injuries were life-altering.
Andrea’s family blamed The Hop, despite the fact that Meena started the fire to cover up her misdeeds.
Jai and Kim Tate (Claire King) will suffer a hefty fine for the bridge collapse in the next scenes.
Jai tried to accuse Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) at first, but his scheme backfired, and he’s now in serious trouble.
The businessman keeps his personal financial concerns hidden from his partner.
Jai submits a loan application in secret but is turned down.
How far will he go to stay afloat and ensure that The Hop stays a profitable business?
Jai may turn to a far more risky choice after getting refused by the loan firm.
If the businessman turns to loan sharks to bail him out of problems, the hamlet may be in peril.
Loan sharks are infamous for being dishonest, and Jai may find himself in need of a large sum of money to pay them back.
Will he set fire to The Hop in an attempt to get the insurance money?
“Becoming the largest stakeholder at the HOP puts him in a slightly different situation,” Jai star Chris remarked of the problem. Kim was able to transfer some shares to Gabby just in time to avoid a serious disaster.
“Resolving this is all on Jai’s shoulders. In the end, he’s always been ruthless in business and sometimes in love, so he’s due for a run. For a long time, he’s been pleasant.
“He needed redeeming after his escapades with cocaine and Rachel. He went to the edge of whether people could like him anymore.
“We’ve probably bought him back far enough to see he’s a good person and a good dad, but when it comes to business, he’ll do what he has to do to protect his family.”
