Emmerdale heartbreak as Vinny Dingle’s proposal ends in tragedy?

EMMERDALE’S Vinny Dingle might be about to take his relationship with Liv Flaherty to the next level, but what if the village serial killer reappears?

During Thursday’s double-bill of the ITV soap, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) declared their love for each other. Vinny has spent weeks attempting to prove her innocence after being charged with the murder of Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon). Will Vinny ask Liv for her hand in marriage now that she’s been released?

When Vinny learned that Liv had been released, he was overjoyed, and the two of them went out for fish and chips after her court appearance.

She yearned to see her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), but Vinny had to admit he had lied to her.

“I did this to protect you, I’m sorry but he’s not coming,” Vinny confessed.

A puzzled Liv replied: “Do you mean tonight?”

After losing his boyfriend Ben, Aaron didn’t want to return to Emmerdale or see her, he explained.

“Everyone else wants to see you, so let’s just go home,” he added.

Liv, on the other hand, was enraged and warned Vinny to leave her alone because she needed some alone time after the devastating blow.

Aaron left the village following the tragic death of his boyfriend Ben, which serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) was responsible for.

Vinny later ran into Liv and mistook her for someone drinking alcohol, but she explained it was just a bottle of water.

Changing the subject, Vinny said: “I didn’t think you were coming back.”

Liv, on the other hand, stated that she had nowhere else to go, and Vinny continued to apologize for disappointing her.

“I think it was the drink, and you two both wind each other up,” Vinny explained to Liv, who was curious as to why Aaron didn’t want to see her.

“Liv, I never wanted to lie to you I just wanted to protect you from this.”

She started to mellow and said: “You’ve never given up on me.”

Vinny assure Liv he “never would” stop supporting her and the pair shared a kiss.

Liv promised to try and get her life back on track and they declared their love for each other, saying they wanted a “fresh start”.

Will Vinny get down on one knee and propose to Liv now that they’ve both expressed their feelings?

If she says yes, the couple can continue to plan their wedding and look forward to their future together.

Meena, on the other hand, made an appearance at the end of Thursday’s episode and may be seeking vengeance.

Is she returning to Emmerdale to assassinate Vinny, whom she held hostage until her secrets were revealed, leaving Liv heartbroken?
