Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is on a mission to ruin the Chapman family in Emmerdale, starting with Ellis, as the New Year approaches (Aaron Anthony).
Ellis ran out to assist Priya (Fiona Wade), leaving Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Kyle freezing in the midst of the forest.
With Kyle in the hospital, an angry Cain knows Ellis is to blame and is determined to hold him accountable.
Cain is concerned about Kyle, so he instructs Marlon (Mark Charnock) to expel Ellis from Tall Trees, sparking a feud between the Dingles and the Chapmans.
While Nate (Jurell Carter) and Moira (Natalie J Robb) are concerned about Cain’s plans, he goes in pursuit of Ellis.
As retaliation for putting Kyle in the hospital, Cain abandons a terrified Ellis in the middle of nowhere on the moors that night.
Ellis is curled up on the floor, bloodied and barefooted, but will he be discovered?
