Charity gets ready for Johnny and Moses’ play date in the scenes to come next week.
Meanwhile, Ryan receives several phone calls, and when he answers, it’s clear that he’s received bad news.
Ryan attempts to contact Charity, but she refuses to take his call. Soon after, he confides in Mack and informs him that his adoptive mother, Irene, has died.
Vanessa is with Charity. Charity and Vanessa are engrossed in conversation, and Charity declines Mack’s call because the boys enjoy spending time together.
Ryan accepts Mack’s offer to drive him to his brother.
The next day, Mack advises Ryan to inform Charity of Irene’s death.
Charity is enraged when Mack tells her the news because he didn’t tell her sooner.
Charity is enraged when she realizes she has angered both Mack and Ryan. Vanessa, too, is irritated by Charity’s usual behavior and walks away.

Meanwhile, Mack takes a drink and begins to talk about his tumultuous relationship with Dawn.
Charity is encouraged by Vanessa to try to work things out with Mack. But before Charity can say anything, she notices a drunk Mack across the road, who has seen her with Vanessa.
He leans in and kisses Dawn, envious.
Billy is enraged the next day when he learns Mack kissed Dawn.
Mack and Charity are no longer together, but Vanessa messes with Mack’s mind by telling him that Charity was coming to apologize to him before he kissed Dawn.
Is it possible for Charity and Mackenzie to work things out, or is it game over?
