Emmerdale spoilers: Dark plot ahead for Arthur and Laurel?

Next week’s Emmerdale spoilers have been revealed. Arthur is enraged by Laurel’s breakup with Jai.

Laurel is gutted by his accusations as he lays into her. Is Arthur about to embark on yet another perilous journey?

Is it possible for Jai to intervene and protect Laurel from her son?

Emmerdale spoilers: Laurel lies to Arthur

When word of Marlon’s stroke gets out, Jai wants to help Laurel, who has been shaken by it.

He finds himself babysitting the kids and realizes how much he misses his family.

Meanwhile, Laurel attempts to protect Arthur’s feelings by lying to him, realizing the impact their breakup is having on him.

She fabricates a different story to make sure he doesn’t hate Jai, so she doesn’t tell him the real reason they broke up.

Arthur lashes out

When Arthur lashes out, Laurel’s attempt to protect her son and former partner backfires spectacularly.

She’s already dealt with Jai, who believes they can put their differences aside and reconcile.

Laurel kicks Jai out of the house, and he’s taken aback when he realizes how much she’s hurting.

But things only get worse when Arthur is enraged by his mother’s decision to evict Jai.

He accuses Laurel of sleeping with someone else as he vents his rage. She’s disappointed and hurt that her son thinks so little of her.

Jai, on the other hand, is the one who tells Arthur the truth about their breakup, leaving the teen feeling guilty. Will he, however, apologize to his mother? Is this the start of Arthur’s next dark adventure?

Arthur’s got form

It wouldn’t be the first time if Arthur went bad again.

When he didn’t want a new brother, he launched a vicious bullying campaign against Jai’s son, Archie.

Before the truth about Arthur’s behavior was revealed, Jimmy King was even blamed for some of Archie’s injuries.

He even expressed his wish for Laurel’s death.

But, after everything he’s been through in his young life, including being switched at birth, the death of his father, Ashley, after a battle with early onset dementia, and Laurel’s rekindled romance with Bob Hope, perhaps Arthur deserves a break?!

He’d finally warmed up to the idea of Laurel and Jai, and now he’s faced with yet another setback in his young life.

Isn’t it understandable that he would act out?

But, given his track record, how far will he go this time?
