Emmerdale spoilers: New video sees Charity destroyed by a devastating death

In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is rendered speechless when she learns that Ryan Stocks’ (James Moore) adoptive mother Irene has died.

The popular character is looking forward to the start of the week as she prepares for Johnny and Moses’ playdate with ex Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).

Ryan, on the other hand, receives heartbreaking news of Irene’s death while she’s out. As he tries to contact Charity, he confides in Mackenzie Boyd (Lawerence Robb), who is incredibly supportive.

While in Vanessa’s company, Charity, on the other hand, repeatedly rejects his calls, implying that she has no idea what Ryan is going through.

Ryan, upset with Charity, drives away in his car, refusing to speak to her, in the above clip from Tuesday’s (January 25) episode of its ITV serial drama.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie takes it upon himself to inform Charity of Irene’s death.

‘It happened out of nowhere,’ he says. ‘Irene passed away.’

Charity is stunned into silence before recalling Irene and telling Mack how ‘lovely’ she was.

The former Woolpack landlady then leaps into action, determined to be there for Ryan in his hour of need, but she tells Mackenzie to stay behind, claiming Ryan needs her more than he does him right now.

Mackenzie is taken aback by her words, and Charity will go even further in later scenes, berating him for failing to inform her of Irene’s death sooner.
