Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) was not pleased to learn that Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) had been talking about their almost kissing scene in Emmerdale.
The duo has struggled to resist the chemistry that is still evident between them, and they almost locked lips earlier this month, as viewers know.
Charity has been unable to think about anything else since then, and on Friday’s (March 18) episode of the ITV soap, she confided in Marlon (Mark Charnock) in the hopes of receiving sound advice on what to do.
She exclaimed, ‘I wasn’t expecting [Vanessa] to try to kiss me!’ ‘I hesitated because I was surprised, but only because it’s something I’ve wanted for a long time,’ says the author.
Despite his struggles to keep up with the fast-paced drama, Marlon instructed Charity to tell Vanessa how she truly feels.
‘I can’t [have it out with her] because she says she’s over me!’ she responds.
Marlon, on the other hand, insisted on speaking with her former fiancée.
Despite her reservations, Charity did just that when she went into the Woolpack, grabbing a moment with Vanessa.
Things, on the other hand, do not go as planned!
Vanessa, you see, was shocked to learn that Charity had told Marlon about their encounter, and she reprimanded her.
She said, ‘You really are deluded,’ and Charity was speechless. ‘It was a blunder. This only adds to the evidence.
Charity attempted to respond in order to argue her case, but Vanessa was uninterested.
‘Just keep your distance from me,’ she added. ‘I’m serious, Charity. Just take a step back.’
Is Vanessa and Charity’s situation hopeless? Is there any chance of a reunion now that this heated exchange has occurred?
