Emmerdale star Anna Nightingale reveals special meaning behind baby daughter’s name

Anna Nightingale, who stars in Emmerdale, has explained the significance of her infant daughter’s name.

Last month, the 31-year-old actress and her fiancé Daren Dixon welcomed their second child.

The couple has now spoken out about their new arrival, as well as the meaning behind her sweet name, Ava Nolle.

Anna and Daren spoke about their second child together in a new interview with OK! Magazine.

Autumn, the couple’s four-year-old daughter, is already theirs.

Anna explained that the pair initially held off naming the tot, saying: “We had ideas but we wanted to learn more about her first. She looks like an Ava though.”

  • Daren added: “We wanted an olde worlde name – something that wasn’t super-modern. There are a couple of producers and directors that we respect, like Ava DuVernay, who inspired us.”

    “We went back and forth with ideas,” Anna said about her middle name, “but as soon as I learned it was December 1st, I was rooting for Nolle.” At that point, you start to feel Christmassy.”

    Last month, Anna gave birth to Ava Nolle, her first child.

    Shortly after giving birth, she said: “The wait is finally over, hello bubba. Just in time for Christmas our little pudding has arrived safe and well.

    “The four of us are home and in our cosy bubble of sleepless nights and endless cuddles.”

  • Meanwhile, back in September, the actress revealed her pregnancy to OK! Magazine.

    Anna, who debuted as Andrea Tate in Emmerdale in 2019, revealed that the pregnancy came as a shock to the family.

    Amy Walsh, Anna’s co-star, gave birth to her first child during the holidays.

    The actress shared the news on Instagram with her EastEnders co-star Toby-Alexander Smith.
