EMMERDALE’S Although Bernice Blackstock hasn’t had a major plot in the ITV soap opera in a while, a recent speculation from Express.co.uk indicates she might be connected to the attack on Nicola King, her sister.
In Monday night’s episode of Emmerdale, Bernice (played by Samantha Giles) was keen to divert Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) from the trauma of her attack. The mother of three was initially alarmed by the villager because she thought someone was stalking her house, but it turned out to be Bernice. The ITV soap’s first episode of the week seemed to be the stalwart’s attempt to refocus Nicola’s attention, but there may have been a few hints that she isn’t being as helpful as she portrays herself to be.
The sisters fought a couple of weeks ago when Nicola passed off Bernice’s suggestions for the council as her own.
Bernice was really hurt by this, especially because she believed she had discovered a new passion outside of the beauty parlor.
The venture was made much more enjoyable by the fact that she was flirting hotly with another councilor, but once more, her sister ended any chance of a relationship.
Although Nicola has subsequently received Bernice’s forgiveness for everything she caused her, it is debatable to what extent their reconciliation was successful prior to the attack by a gang of young girls.
It’s possible that Bernice planned the assault, bought off the girls to humiliate her sister, and then put up a good show to hide her involvement.
If this hypothesis were correct, it would suggest that Nicola’s exposure to the frighteners at the start of Monday’s show was entirely deliberate.
Additionally, Bernice would have observed Nicola’s anxiety about being left alone while she was at the house with her sister.
After spending the entire day with her sibling, Bernice commented toward the end of the installment: “The bids are due in on Thursday, so we need to put our thinking caps on.
Her added, “We’ve had to come up with a spectacular idea if we want to beat our rivals,” but Nicola urged she stay a little longer as her fears of being left alone began to surface.
“Should we start brainstorming right away? I am able to open bottles, “The three children’s mother spoke to her sibling.
Nicola, I need to leave; I’ve been here for hours,” Bernice stated, seeming to ignore the fact that her sister was clearly stressed.
“Are you ready to present with me then?” Nicola was once more eager to leave the house when the mother of one remarked: “What? Attend the meeting?
Bernice remarked, “Well, I am hardly recommending you appear as a hologram, and you’re used to pitching.
She added, “What with all the council things,” and Nicola reprimanded her sister for not supporting the cause they were pursuing.
Bernice devised a plan to make her sister look bad for changing her mind by manipulating the event to forward her ideals.
Nicola, who didn’t have much faith in her own skills, answered, “Sounds excellent,” as she was eager to take Bernice’s position.
“I know,” the mother of one said, realizing she was the one who was at her best right then and there and understanding why her sister was feeling so worried.
Bernice believes she can now rule the roost and that her involvement in the attack will remain a secret because Nicola is no longer the combative woman she once was.
But in the world of soap operas, secrets don’t remain hidden for very long, and Bernice might be revealed once Nicola realizes how much her sister has damaged her reputation.
Will Bernice’s desire to teach her sister a lesson result in any consequences?
The Nicola character’s on-screen actress shared her thoughts on the most recent episode’s plot.
Nicola clarified: “Her house is a refuge of safety. For a week, Nicola is left alone. We cannot see what is occurring.
“When we eventually return to her, we notice that the modest agoraphobia she had had has also developed into monophobia.
“Even in her own home, she doesn’t feel at ease by herself. In the beginning, the home serves as her safe haven. She is equally scared of being alone as she is of going outside, so it quickly turns like a prison.”
Nicola crashes her car as a result of this tragic circumstance, and in her rage, she then attacks one of her neighbors.
She is essentially experiencing a full-blown crisis attack, Nicola continued to Express.co.uk and other media. She had a panic attack at first as she begins to remember what occurred with the females.
Evidently, she is unaware that the person is not the girl she believes she is. One of the girls heard some laughter on the street as she approached the door.
“And she immediately switches to assault mode.
Naturally, she begins to breathe heavily. She simply swirls. It’s a painful day. Just spiraling, she. Then it all simply becomes too much.
When Bernice realizes she has damaged her sister’s self-confidence, will she have a lot to answer for?
