Emmerdale theory: Wendy Posner to exit as secret exposed during Meena’s trial

EMMERDALE’S Wendy Posner has recently taken a backseat to the drama on the ITV soap, but a new theory from Express.co.uk suggests she could be in serious trouble as a result of the events of Tuesday night’s episode.

Wendy (Susan Cookson) will testify in Meena Jutla’s (Paige Sandhu) murder trial later this week, as the Emmerdale villain’s legal team believes Wendy’s former colleague can give the guilty party a glowing review. The beloved villager has been hesitant to give evidence because she knows Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is counting on her to bring the serial killer to justice. However, she may be the one thrust into the spotlight in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap, as Liam may inform the courts. Wendy isn’t a trustworthy source of data.

Wendy had never completed her nurse training while at university, and it was revealed last year that she was not a registered nurse.

Russ Posner (Rob Jarvis), her abusive ex-husband, had gotten her involved in his drug schemes when they were younger.

The beloved villager was charged by the police after she was caught, and her professional career was over.

Except that when she changed her name to Posner, she reapplied for a nurse’s license despite not having the necessary qualifications and was approved.

Only Liam and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) are aware of the truth at the moment, but the former could inform the courts that his employee has been committing fraud and is a criminal.

This theory is based on a conversation the doctor had with one of his employees near the end of Tuesday’s episode.

He pleaded with Wendy to assist them, as his testimony had fallen flat and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) was also having trouble on the stand.

While waiting to be served in the Woolpack after day two of the trial, he told the nurse, “You cannot give them an inch tomorrow.”

“They won’t give a damn about me. I’m not significant. The only reason they’re hearing my testimony before Meena’s is that I have an urgent work appointment that I can’t avoid “she retorted

“Perhaps they believe what you have to say is so important that they are willing to make an exception,” Liam continued.

“Even if it is, I’ll just tell them about the woman I know,” Wendy teased, implying that she might paint Meena in a more favorable light.

As he told her, Liam made a subtle threat: “Who you must know is evil in the same way that Russ was evil. Who threatened to expose you, and then I stepped in to save the day?”

Wendy attempted to defend herself by saying, “Look, I’m sorry Liam, I understand how much you need this, but I’m not going to lie about Meena in court.”

“That’s why she picked you,” he said, frustrated that his daughter’s killer could be painted as a good person.

“No, she chose me because she thinks I’m a pushover, and she thinks she can manipulate me and get me to say whatever she wants,” she continued.

“They’re cunning,” he said, adding that they’d do everything they could to make Meena appear to be a pillar of the community.

Wendy went on to say, “They’re not that clever, and don’t forget, I shared a house with Ben and Andrea,” and that she had people who had also been killed by Meena who needed justice.

“Two of my closest friends passed away. There is nothing I can say that will prevent Meena from receiving everything she deserves.”

Liam, on the other hand, may still believe Wendy will crumble on the stand as a result of this conversation.

Despite the fact that he has kept her secret for several months, he risks betraying his friend and employee in the worst way possible.

Wendy could be arrested for fraud and questioned about why she did it and how she got away with it for so long if you report her to the authorities.

Wendy would explain that as a midwife, she has never put anyone in danger and has assisted countless patients over the years.
Unless this isn’t enough to keep her out of jail, because she would not only miss her chance to speak at the trial, but she would also be imprisoned.

With a significant number of years on her head, the character may decide to leave the village and the show.

She could accept her fate, though, because she knows this secret has weighed her down for far too long.

Susan, the actress who plays Wendy, explained how her character was forced into a situation she couldn’t get out of last year while discussing her character’s secret.

“When [Wendy and Russ] were married, she had to know her place and keep quiet,” the actress said. He had the purse strings in his hands and was in command.

“Wendy is not weak, and she is aware of her own thoughts, but she was young when she fell into this lifestyle. But she has a moral compass and managed to get away.”

Will Russ, on the other hand, be the one who takes away her freedom?
