Emmerdale’s Al Chapman pushes Chas Dingle to breaking point with new plan

Tonight on Emmerdale, Al Chapman continues his merciless attempt to ruin The Woolpack (December 14).

Al (Michael Wildman) is doing everything he can to run the pub into the ground so he can turn it into luxurious apartments.

The Woolpack was purchased by the cunning businessman in order to carry out his secret strategy. While his true objectives were kept hidden for a while, co-owners Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) soon found out what he was up to.

The Dingles are shocked in Tuesday’s episode when it becomes evident why Al backed Marlon’s new drink advertising proposal.

Marlon decided to offer punters a free glass of champagne if they made dinner reservations at The Woolpack in the run-up to Christmas, hoping that this would enhance sales.

Regrettably, calamity strikes this evening when the citizens of the village notice something unusual in Marlon’s promotional email.

According to Marlon’s message, instead of a glass, all clients are entitled to a complimentary bottle of champagne.

Chas and Marlon realize that Al must have covertly edited the email before it was sent out as their thrilled friends and neighbors throng to the pub to take advantage of the odd offer.

The townspeople had a mixed reaction to the news, with some still determined to take advantage of the offer and others pitying the Dingles after the mix-up.

Chas loses patience as Al attempts to stir up the situation in any way he can. In a fit of rage, he tosses a bottle of champagne against the wall.

PC Swirling (Andy Moore) is inside and is concerned about the tumultuous environment inside The Woolpack.

Can things just grow worse with Chas’s brother Cain (Jeff Hordley) determined to defend his family and fight back against Al?
