Emmerdale’s best ever villains from Meena Jutla to Kim Tate

Over the years, Emmerdale has had some incredible villains.

In comparison to all the baddies who have walked its streets, the village makes Midsomer look safe.

These five, on the other hand, are the absolute best of the best…

Meena Jutla

Meena, who has only been in the village for 18 months, has already established herself as a local celebrity.

Meena appears to be in a hurry to get through her story, whereas the last serial killer to prey on the villagers, Lachlan White, spent far too much time running free.

She enjoys killing, and there are no sad accidental deaths or guilt for her to deal with – it’s pure joy to watch her.

She’s still playing games with the villagers in prison, awaiting trial, and something tells us she hasn’t finished killing yet…

Frank Tate

Frank Tate, the village’s first big bad wolf, was cruel to everyone around him.

He used his wealth and business interests to crush his opponents and compel those around him to follow his orders.

Then he ran into Kim Tate.

She was his secretary, and she quickly turned his strategies against him, eventually surpassing him and watching him die while applying her lipstick.

None of this, however, diminishes Frank’s true villainy.

Carl King

A spoiled daddy’s boy who murdered his father’s postman, attempted to rape his girlfriend, and ultimately fell victim to a larger villain.

Carl wasn’t just a one-and-done villain; his heinousness has outlasted many other villains in Emmerdale’s history.

Carl, a character utterly ruined by the village and its secrets, became famous thanks to actor Tom Lister’s portrayal of him.

Right up until the end of his supposedly indestructible life.

Cameron Murray

A serial killer who murdered three people, one of whom was also a serial killer.

Cameron was a serial killer who killed Carl King by bludgeoning him to death, suffocating Gennie Walker, and kidnapping, torturing, and murdering Alex Moss.

But it was his secret affair with Debbie Dingle behind Chas’ back that sparked the Cameron drama.

He wasn’t just a murderer; he was also a cruel man.

Then he was electrocuted to death in the pub’s beer cellar.

Kim Tate

It wouldn’t be a list of the best Emmerdale villains without mentioning the true queen of them all, would it?

While many villains come and go, only to be forgotten after a few murders, Kim has remained more iconic for a long time.

Yes, she’s murdered people, but not with her own hands. And, to her credit, she did not assassinate her step-grandson.
And, while she has destroyed almost everyone in her life, she is attempting to be nicer these days.

It didn’t stop her from scaring serial killer Meena Jutla into submission.

And when someone can defeat a psychopath and emerge victoriously, you know she’s the real deal.
