Liv Flaherty, an EMMERDALE resident, may die in prison before the truth about Ben Tucker’s killing is revealed.
Emmerdale watchers have been watching as villainous nurse Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) has continued to terrorize the village in recent weeks. Meena was finally caught red-handed by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) after he rescued Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) who were being kept hostage by the villain in scenes that aired on the ITV soap last week.
Despite being apprehended, Meena managed to flee the police station, and it is unknown where she is now.
Meena told Manpreet about her murdering spree and who she has targeted so far during her newest plan.
After discovering her violent history, the nurse confessed to murdering Liam’s daughter, Leanna (Mimi Slinger), and Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon).
The revelation may also aid in the release of Liv Flaherty (Isabel Steele), who is now serving time in jail for a crime she did not commit.
Manpreet, who is struggling for her life in hospital after Meena drugged her, is the only one who knows the truth.
Vinny is adamant about getting his love interest out of prison in scenes that aired Monday night.
Vinny’s mother, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), let out that Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) had called Liv to say Meena had admitted the truth about Ben’s death at the start of the episode.
However, an enraged Vinny quickly pointed out that Manpreet, who was in a coma, was the only person who could expose the nurse.
“The last thing Liv needs is false expectations,” Vinny raged as Mandy said: “Sorry!”
“Chas was just excited,” Mandy continued. “You know what she can be like. By the time I found out, it was too late.”
Vinny later paid Liv a visit in prison, when she interrogated him about Manpreet.
“I have asked them when I am going to get out, but they don’t know anything,” Liv began.
She continued: “What happens now? Do the police speak to the courts? Is that how it works?”
“Liv, just listen for a second,” Vinny interrupted as she asked: “Can you not speak to them?”
“It’s not that simple,” Vinny raged as Liv hit back: “I never said it was that simple but Meena has confessed.”
“Not to me, or the cops,” Vinny acknowledged as she calmed down.
Liv then pointed out that Vinny was with Manpreet, to which he replied, “No, when she admitted I wasn’t.”
“Manpreet suffered a heart attack yesterday and she hasn’t come around yet,” Vinny said, breaking the news of Manpreet’s health.
“I’m sorry, Liv, but it has to come from her directly, so you’ll just have to wait.”
As Liv reeled from the news, she asked her cellmate if she could get her some alcohol.
When she got turned down, Liv snapped: “Shut up, please.”
“I’ll let that pass as I can see you’re upset,” her cellmate Mel replied. “Come on, Liv tell your aunty Mel all about it. You got done, Liv. A bit like me, accept it.”
“Shut up, Mel,” Liv raged as her cellmate replied: “That’s twice you’ve said that to me now.
“Someone needs to learn some manners,” Mel added before closing the cell door.
Liv was found covered in blood on the cell floor at the end of the episode.
Is Mel planning to murder the youngster before the truth about Meena and Ben is revealed?
