Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle tears apart couple in revenge plot?

Mandy Dingle of Emmerdale had been worried sick about her son Vinny’s whereabouts since he secretly left the village to marry Liv Flaherty. How will Mandy react if she finds out they left to tie the knot behind her back?

Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) decided to get married without telling their families earlier this week. On Thursday’s episode of Emmerdale, the Emmerdale couple returned to the village, and both wanted to keep their wedding a secret. Will an overprotective Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) do everything she can to break up the couple once the truth is revealed?

Following a tumultuous few months, Liv and Vinny have been trying to get their lives back on track, but Vinny’s mother Mandy can’t help but interfere with their relationship.

Since Vinny was kidnapped by Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu), the soap’s serial killer, and Liv battled alcoholism, she has been constantly worried.

The lovers drove to Daventry, Northamptonshire, to tie the knot in secret, determined to take their relationship to the next level.

The newlyweds returned to Emmerdale during Thursday’s double-bill, but when Mandy inquired about their whereabouts, they had to pretend they had only spent a few nights in a hotel.

Mandy was concerned about Vinny and Liv’s whereabouts before they returned to the village.

She was well aware that only Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) knew the truth, so she continued to question her.

“Laurel, come on, I’m his mother,” Mandy pleaded. This is not fair, from one mother to another.”

“I’ll tell you what isn’t fair,” Laurel retorted, “you putting pressure on me to break their confidence.”

“If they were underage, I would have noticed and informed you, but they are adults, so can we please stop now?”

Mandy “borrowed” Laurel’s phone in a desperate attempt to learn the truth and discovered she had text messages from Liv, which she couldn’t read because she didn’t know the passcode.

Laurel discovered her phone was missing later and confronted Mandy about it.

“Look Laurel, I’m desperate,” Mandy sobbed, “what if they’re not okay, and why am I the big bad ogre, and why can’t they be honest with me?”

However, as she began to break down, Vinny drove by in his van, and she became enraged and began yelling at him.
