An anxious Manpreet tries to put on a brave face as the day of Meena’s plea hearing approaches.
Meena is dismayed to see how few villagers have shown up for her hearing when she arrives in the courtroom, but she makes an effort to agitate the crowd.
When Meena pleads guilty to the first of many charges leveled against her, the room erupts in applause – but is this all part of her latest deranged mind game?
While Meena appears to be as calm as a cucumber, Manpreet becomes overwhelmed by the situation and has a panic attack.
After abandoning her car and phone, the distressed medic drives away from the village. Manpreet’s friends become concerned when her whereabouts are unknown, fearing that she has been abducted.

Abi is still coming to terms with the fact that she gave birth to a baby she didn’t know she was carrying, but she assures her social worker that she will go to any length to keep little Alfie.
Toyah seeks advice from Imran after learning that Abi must prove she can provide a proper home for her newborn. To his horror, he realizes who she’s talking about.
Imran tracks Abi down to the hospital with his mind racing, and is taken aback when she admits Alfie is the result of their one-night stand.
Imran, stunned, asks to see his son, but as he turns around, he notices Toyah standing in the corridor. How much has she actually heard?
Meanwhile, Abi’s story is splashed all over the Gazette, making her front page news. Debbie reads the article and presses Abi for answers, assuming that the baby is Kevin’s.
Abi, on the other hand, is preoccupied with more pressing matters, as she reveals that Alfie will be undergoing surgery that day.
Later, while waiting for news about her son’s surgery, Abi is overcome with emotion when Kevin arrives and holds her in his arms.
When the nurse confirms Alfie’s operation was a success, everyone is relieved, and Abi goes along with the lie because Kevin believes the baby is the result of her alleged fling with Tez.
She accepts her estranged husband’s offer to move in with her until she obtains custody, giving Abi renewed hope that her marriage can be saved.

While the residents of Albert Square are still reeling from last week’s horrific events, Whitney must inform Martin that Gray has murdered Kush.
Martin is hellbent on vengeance after learning the truth about his best friend’s death, and he has Chelsea on his list of targets.
Later, as Chelsea prepares to leave for the hospital to pick up Jordan, Martin throws a brick through the window of her house, stopping her in her tracks.
Outside, Whit tries her hardest to calm the enraged Fowler and persuade him that Kush’s murder was entirely the fault of the evil Gray, but the attack forces Chelsea to make a major decision about her future.
Martin’s conscience kicks in after he takes some time to calm down, and he offers to fix Chelsea’s broken window.
In the Taylor household, tensions are high as a grieving Mitch turns on Karen and accuses her of failing to recognize the signs that Gray was abusing Chantelle.
Karen kicks Mitch out, and Keegan slams the bottle in despair as a result of their heated exchange.
Whitney makes a desperate call, pleading with the person on the other end to come home and help her fix the family’s situation.

Vanessa is doing her best to downplay their near-kiss last week, but Charity knows there’s still unfinished business between them.

Charity is taken aback when Mack reveals his plan for them to move in together, and she declines because she can’t get Vanessa out of her head.
Mack is hurt by the rejection and threatens to return to Scotland in retaliation. Charity initially thinks he’s joking, but she soon realizes he’s serious about leaving the village.
It’s unclear whether she can persuade him to stay, but Paddy is quick to notice the growing tension between Charity and Vanessa. How long will they be able to deny their feelings for each other?

Tommy notices the bullies helping themselves to Billy’s cash box while trying to think of a way to get Kat off his case about the stolen money. After a scuffle, Billy incorrectly believes Tommy is attempting to rob him.
Billy tells Kat what happened, and she’s furious and unsure how to rein in her rogue son.
Kat’s problems are exacerbated when she receives a suspicious package from Phil and is instructed to sign for it.
Kat initially refuses, but when she visits her Phil in prison, he explains that it’s for his own safety, so Kat agrees to help. Nothing, however, prepares her for the surprise that awaits her inside the package.
In another part of the school, Lily is concerned when she sees the bullies harassing Tommy, and she then makes a disturbing discovery.
The mystery of the missing money becomes even more complicated when Tommy accuses Jean of being the thief, prompting her to tell him some hard truths.
Tommy, determined to make amends, asks Billy to be his apprentice, but Kat interprets this as more proof that he stole the money.
Kat confronts Tommy and asks if he’s covering for someone else in a last-ditch effort to get the truth out of her.
